Do you mean the reflected light from the bottom of the stone ?
I cross post between both platforms and am available by phone or text and post that info within each post. All my photos are done in natural light and depending on what time of day it is plays a huge part in the overall look of a stone. I usually don't frequent the forums anymore but thought I would respond to your questions personally. Have a great week...
You have a great collection of bands! You scored the ruby and emerald rings for excellent prices, too
That’s really pretty, @Tartansparkles! Gorgeous zircon colour. I think you are UK based? Would you recommend the jeweller, despite the glitches? Worth adding to the thread about U.K. jewellers? I know I have at least one thing I’d like made at some point with no clue where to start with finding someone to do it.Earlier in the year I bought an antique pin with blue zircon. My idea was a pin to ring conversion which as it turns out is not as simple as I thought it would be!
Anyhoo, I now have my ring in hand and despite two tiny niggles to do with balance/symmetry and the tiny diamonds being in slightly the wrong place, I'm delighted.
If I was to do the project again there are very small changes I would make and as I said there are imperfections in the execution. But the ring was made by hand with nothing more than my sketches given to the jeweler over the counter in his busy shop. So I'm happy to live with it as it is

And this is why Pricescope needs a ‘love’ button.
You are a legend.
What is this magical site and can I second how brilliant @PreRaphaelite
Is?
I just got notified by Ivy & Rose that my rings are ready. I sent them a 5mm California spessartite garnet and an 8x6 pink spinel from Burma in the second half of March. Here are the pics they sent over. The spinel was $500, setting $749 including labor, so it's just under at $1249. The spess was $65, and the setting cost $593, so that ring is $658. I will probably get the rings next week, as I had requested to send them to a work address. Here are the hand shots that Ivy and Rose sent me.
