Fabulous CS rings under 2,000 dollar!!

My jade vendor has really outdone himself.

I seldom try to be adventurous and he was wary of the complicated halo but the man delivered!!!

I wanted a cab that was good value for money so we hunted and finally came upon this one. There is no backing on this so no "help" with the cab colour!

Very well done for the price

Thanks @MissyBeaucoup and @icy_jade

Rather proud of myself about this. I wanted a huge huge ring in a color I liked and I've achieved it.

I sacrificed a few more intense coloured stones along the way but they were 12 by 10 or smaller. It's very hard to find a big one on a budget that doesn't look tragic!

Yeah, you should be proud of yourself about it! Green looks amazing on your skin tone. The halo in rose gold is an absolute delight as well.

My new jadeite heart.

I've also got matching earrings but they are on my ears now so will attempt a pic later.

Nice and thick for a heart. Not a sliver! I'm stoked that it's a proper hearty shape too :D

I LOVE IT:love:

My new 9ct Amethyst in 18k rose gold. Color May not be everyones cup of tea. Purchased it because I wanted a huge round amethyst. I fell out of love with ( listed it for sale about a month ago:???:.) Then I fell completely IN love with it. Not a fan of the transparency but love how it looks in various lighting, how it never blacks out.

Anyway, just wanted to share. It was under 500.

Omg that looks freaking fabulous on you!!!! I love the color, the size and the design! You have wonderful taste!

I know amethyst is inexpensive, but it's impressive that you got the setting under $500 as well! It's 18k with diamonds! The perfect purple to pair with your pink nails.

It's really beautiful @ZestfullyBling! It looks beautiful on you and really great that you can stack. I do the same thing too, fall out of love with something and then fall back in love with. That's why I don't sell!!! Ahhh:lol:

It's big and bold and beautiful on you. I'm not sure I could pull off these colors, haha, but then I never got into the habit of wearing mail polish.

Not sure if this counts but one of the local stores is going out of business (perpetually if you know what I mean)

This was what my cousin picked up for $750. Citrine is about 5 carats and I have no idea what the pretty pinky stones are.

And I got this steal of a band for $226. I figured if it was lab created no big deal right? I mean for that price
Imagine my surprise when I was trying to read the stamp and it says Tiffany & Co irad plat. I about fell over.

The pink stones look like pink tourmalines to me. Nice find =).

I have two rings to show today. The first is a 1.72 carat blue heated Sri Lanka sapphire from Dana at Mastercut Gems, purchased from a recent sale. It's set in a stock Stuller 14k solitaire setting. Total cost about $765. The second one is a 1.05 carat 7 X 5 red-pink Burmese spinel from MCG, also purchased from a recent sale. The setting is a stock 18k yellow gold Stuller setting with F+ VS1 melee. Total cost about $910. Both were set by a local jeweler. My pictures are not that great. I had a hard time trying to capture the colors correctly and I can't seem to be in focus for love or money. The spinel is shifty and has some garnet like qualities in some lights, but most of the time is a beautiful Christmas ornament red color, with that pretty almost metallic luster that spinels are famous for. The sapphire shifts as well, but is a pretty periwinkle blue/lavender at its best, and blue with a slight grey modifier at its worst. The rings are much prettier in real life than my crappy photos show. Overall, I'm very pleased with them. Although, neither stone is trade ideal color, I think I got a lot of bang for the buck.

You did a great job with gem choice and settings! The spinel setting is especially pretty with just that little extra touch of bling :)

Ok, I have additions to add to this thread. I really wanted to share my new spinel ring made bespoke by Daniel M, with a 2.73 ct purple spinel and 2.5mm orange-red spinel sidestones. My first ever orange-purple combo.

I just love the luster of spinels! This is an aspect that's tough for amethysts to match. Stones were around $340 in total, setting a little under $300 as I went for silver, not gold. 14k white gold would've put this project at the $1k mark instead of the $625 total. I really liked the CAD work and how he shaped the trellis exactly around the underside of the stone. Here's a couple more =)2:

Real color is more "grape", less blue. I was trying to capture the luster.

Great choice on the setting, I have considered similar split shank trellis setting from Daniel and I'm glad to see your ring coming out nice.

I really like that setting, voce! Your spinel is really a pretty shade of purple, too,

I just picked up my 7.8mm trillion tourmaline flower ring from being set by my jeweler yesterday. The stone is from Joshua at Rioux Rocks and the setting is from Kyo at jewelryhoo2 on eBay. Josh had been saving this stone to make a ring for himself and I was thrilled that he decided to sell it :))

bet it looks really pretty on .. (hint) =)2

Thank you @T L @elle_71125 @Daisys and Diamonds !
I’ve lost good natural lighting for the day, but wanted still wanted to take and share the requested photos.

Here is a hand shot. My iPhone hates my skin tone and it’s throwing off the color balance making the stone look more green than what I’m seeing in person, but the photo still gives an idea of finger coverage

This is one of the (very) rare trillion settings I’ve liked. It can be such a difficult shape but this setting really shows it off perfectly! I love it.
