Fabulous CS rings under 2,000 dollar!!

I had Daniel M. set this opalescent purplish-pink sapphire in his U-prong setting. Usually I love bezel settings but I wanted to see the colors of the stone from all sides. Sapphire purchased from @Cerulean; setting 14K yellow gold.

I was just sick when I saw I missed this for sale, but glad to see that it is set and being loved. It is gorgeous. Now I'm on the hunt for one for me!

Just a fun SamNSue morganite. Had been eyeing it for a long time on their site then it came up for less on Poshmark. Paid $1000. There’s a few different ones on now. A pear in rose gold and a white gold one. It is nice with my Hermes rose gold and pink clic clack bracelet. I do have to clean it constantly or it’s underwhelming but the halo sparkles like mad and it’s a sizable blingfest on my size 5.5 finger.

Good luck on the hunt! I didn’t intend to give in when I saw the sale listing, but I couldn’t stop looking at pictures of the stone, and thinking about its glow.

Gorgeous sapphire! Dan created a beautiful setting for her, too!

I forgot to put my opalescent sapphire ring here. Well under the $limit. The sapphire was a mere $100, the setting $500 via Etsy. Quite pleased.

Both of these sapphires turned out so pretty in their settings!

Those are both so cool. I didn’t know sapphires could be opalescent! Is it the silk? Anyone know?

Hey,

I‘m new to the forum and want to show you my favourite men‘s ring <1250$.
You probably won‘t see such a piece in an elegant jewellery store (more likely in an antique shop), but it‘s definetely my most special piece to date.
It‘s an antique english (1860s) 18k gold ring with an ~5ct natural amethyst. The floral foliate engravings on the ring band are so detailed and clean. It has a resize mark and no hallmarks, Size R.

Cost me around 500$.

best regards from Germany,
Simon

Welcome, welcome!
Seriously beautiful example and a great deal. Love it.

I decided to revive this thread and add some of my newer rings. I’m frugal and always looking for ways to save money and so all of my CS rings are in this category.

The Stuller is going to be a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. It’s small but mighty so I think she will like it.

That rainbow sapphire is amazing! If I may ask, where did you get it?

I actually found it on Etsy but I have never seen anything like it before so I think they are fairly uncommon. It is from Madagascar but from a seller based in Sri Lanka. It’s almost like a ruby with the pink glow and in some bright lights that’s all you see. In lower indirect light is when you can see the stripes.

I’m not sure I would recommend the seller because there are some inclusions that are visible even though it was listed as eye clean, and also a chip/crack. It’s still a pretty stone but that was annoying.

Ditto on that rainbow sapphire. It is glorious. Sorry to hear the seller was sketch though.

Most of my pieces fall into this price range--including my favorite, this spinel and diamond ring i bought pre-loved. I posted this previously on the vintage finds board...but I love it enough to share it again :)

I love it enough for you to share it in every thread forever. So gorgeous.

Settings have easily gone up 30% and prices for settings, diamonds and gemstones are still going up… maybe 2k so that it’s a bit more inflation-proof?

I like the price now because it’s a great goal to have but I could see raising it to $1,500. It’s low but achievable if you are frugal which is kind of the point of this thread.

Precision cut tourmaline from mastercut gems, 14k custom setting from local jeweller. All in $70028775DCE-263D-40AB-A9D5-5678710CA819.jpeg

Very beautiful and budget savvy buys! No inflation correction needed here. Well done

This demantoid is 3.25 carats, and precision cut by an AGTA award winning lapidary many years ago. It was an old collection piece I took a chance on from a rock hound. It has a veil as you can see in the photo, but is otherwise clean. Although Namibian, I’ve seen Russian stones with this color going for a much much higher value. The ring is moissanite and 10k rose gold.I did this to save funds. I love it though. D657802B-8748-4D38-A699-4836031A6B79.jpeg
