I love this! Did you send your stones to India to be set and if so, were you nervous about that?

Barely squeaks by…$1640 Instagram stone, $231 eBay ring, $120 setting fee. Red spinel from Burma…love it.

She absolutely loves it. I love your color combo.

This looks amazing, I have two sapphires that I'd like to set like this.
I'll be cheeky and ask you for a side image if it's not too much.

@CaseyLouLou Thanks! I actually had the stones set by a fabulous local bench that I found. I definitely would have been nervous sending my stones to India to be set.

@ItsMainelyYou Oooo how fun! I have another that I got in their argentum silver with one of their grey moissanite and a Mahenge garnet that I got from Excess Design. The moissanite is ridiculously pretty. Unfortunately the good light is gone today so I can't get the sparkle to show up, but here's an idea of what it looks like inside.

@Gloria27 Of course! It doesn't look like much from the side, but it sits nice and close to the finger, which I like. Here are a few shots...I didn't realize how hard it is to take a decent picture of rings!

@Kalynna, I really like your other example as well.
She picked a grey and emerald green color and it was the first time I'd seen them together in one ring. So pretty. Great bang for for the buck, these rings!

@Kalynna, thank you! amazing rings.

@ItsMaineleyYou, wow, beautiful!

With raging inflation this thread has not had any traffic! Reviving it in case someone has found a bargain and forgot to post!

Here’s one of my latest ones but all of mine fit this criteria. I’m too frugal to pay more.

This is a pink spinel in a preowned setting that had an ugly sapphire in it.

We are kindred spirits. All my pieces fall in the <$2k category also. I know that if I save up, I could buy some knock out pieces but I really like variety and collecting.

Here’s the ruby ring I recently bought. I hadn’t posted it yet as it was at the lab waiting for certification. 1.05 ct Burmese ruby, certified unheated and vivid red by NGI.

With ruby prices being what they are, I went for color over clarity. It’s a blue-red with a tinge of purple. It’s quite included with veil inclusions and has a small girdle chip, but also shows bright red flashes in the sun. All in all, I got a great price so I’m really happy with what I have for my very small budget.

This setting is stunning and I‘m glad you gave it a beautiful gemstone that it deserves! The pink spinel looks wonderful and looks like it has always been there, especially with that milgrain bezel!

@peacechick it’s beautiful!!!!! It glows! And not $15,000, which I find bewildering whenever I think about it!

Well done!!!!!!!!!

Whoops! I'm the idiot that has something to update and forgot!

My sister's pink tourmaline! Came in well under budget!

I love the tiny prongs, the ring looks so exquisite and luxurious! Your sister is building up a very beautiful collection indeed, thanks to your good eye!

Did I miss the story on this? Love that setting ! With that perfect pink stone. How was this under 2k??

Vendor said this is one of his favorite stones!

There was a lot of angst on my part because I had to decide between this tourmaline and the rubellite heart. Ultimately I couldn't resist the heart but I showed this to my sister and she loved the colour so she bought it. I'm so happy it stayed in the family!

Vendor made the ring for her based on some inspiration pictures that she loved.

The setting and stone came in well under $1500!!! The finish and craftsmanship is absolutely impeccable!

I have something to add! Peach tourmaline from Michelle Mai, peach sapphire melee, and setting by Daniel M. Came in right around $1,000.

I must know how I can have something like this for that price! Wow! Are you sharing vendor info?

What a beautiful detailed ring for $1000!

Starlanka!

Obviously if you use bigger diamonds, buy bigger stones etc, the price will go up but their quality of work and service is excellent! All my recent rings have been made by them.

I’m so impressed by the quality of the workmanship. I’ve bought a stone from them before and had a good experience, but next time, I’ll definitely consider having them do the setting too.

They are fantastic!!!! The bigger/more complicated settings they do for me are superb.

I've got this phobia of buying a stone with no setting plans as options are very limited in Australia so I really enjoy the "one stop shop and set" experience!
