here is the free people sweater i got. they have a few other cropped items that look good. this sweater actually looks better on than it does in this picture, it''s so fall comfy happy and has a little hoodie.
I LOVE that sweater!!!

I would like to get a few new grey suits and another LV bag from the Vernis line or the Black MC Speedy.

I love chocolate browns for spring. It is stinkin hot here, but I just bought a chocolate brown sweater because the yummy color was calling me. I am sure I can''t wear it for a least 2 months. hehe

I also love ivory/cream colors. They look so cozy. I love plaid skirts, it reminds me of school and very cute! Here is a nice one.

Now that I''ve had some time to look over a variety of magazines (Vogue and W for theory/high trends, ones with an older target audience like O for useability interpretations in the workplace, style section of local paper for finding out what precocious teens are begging their parents to get them for end trends to get the pieces that''ll cause envy), I think this thread''s actually hit most of ''em. For the first fall in a long time, there are some actual trends! Yay!:

-- black tights, grey textured tights, worn with skirts and...
-- low anklette boots! (Gotta get a pair in either black patent, claret patent, grey metallic leather)
-- soft metallics in either flowy dresses/skirts or shoes-- but only 1 major item at a time
-- patent leather-- in belts, shoes, handbags (but not all, and all coordinating, at once)
-- casual wear: skinny jeans (black or dark wash blue) paired with long chunky sweaters with some structure-- with Tori Burch flats for comfort or black patent stillettos if the unforgiving skinny jeans need the optical illusion of more length
-- when paired with blacks and greys, accessories in either deep red, purples, or soft metallics
-- pewter is hottest metallic, muted soft gold is 2nd

(Is anyone else as excited as I am to see tights with covered shoes around this season? Getting dressed in the morning was so easy when the combo was around in the mid/late-90s, and I loved being able to wear flirty feminine skirts year-round. Feminine, but very user-friendly. Also, it''s soooo nice to not worry about that really peculiar question women ask themselves after the first time they see ''em in a 3-way mirror... how do the backs of my thighs look in this?

HI:

Nan! Hope this note finds you well? I noticed the link didn''t work either--but was too late to edit. Sorry! The closest match I could find was on Saks webiste--the Etro cashmere sweater with velvet trim. Should be toasty for our type of weather!! (and cool here already............

Got a great long-lasting, red lip crayon... it glides on smoooooth and precise... it''s velvety, not chalky!

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

Also got Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick and it really does have a silky finish. I got it in Jing-a-Ling. Their Creaseless Cream Shadow / Eyeliner is awesome too. I got it in Skinny Jeans and it can be subtle or dramatic... gorgeous color.
HI:

That pencil looks devine. And I bet would double nicely as a very matte color for all over the lips. Like a stain.

cheers--Sharon

Yes, that is what I use it for and the color/texture is amazing. I''m going to get another in Dragon Girl (Siren Red).

Today the Creaseless Shadow was put to the test... running around in 100+ degree temps and the stuff didn''t budge!

anyone gotten anything else new for fall this year? i am currently coveting these from nordstrom...and i want a pair of chunkier heeled rounded toe patent leather pumps in a dark burgundy as well. yummy.

guess kendrick.jpg

mara, i saw those shoes the other day when scouting out nordroms materity stuff...those are sooooooo cute!!!

Mara, you gotta check out DSW for shoes then...they have a ton of menswear inspired styles as well as some really cute patent leather styles in red and burgundy. I stopped in there today and got some good ideas, tried on a few things, etc. I tried on one really cute dark red patent leather round toe with a little detail on top from a brand called Madeleine I think that were super adorable, the heel was high but chunky enough to be comfortable and not wobbly like a thinner heel. They were right up your alley. Saw a few other cutie ones from Steve Madden and Kenneth Cole as well.

I can never decide whether to buy shoes first and end up matching outfits around them, or do what I usually do and buy outfits first and then shoes to match...lol. So I didn''t buy anything today!

so i've been a bad girl and have done some major fall/winter shopping in 95+ degree humid texas still-feels-like-freakin'-summer weather. It's easy when ya got AC and the net...heehee... sadly i'm one of those southern girls obsessed with coats and luuuurve buying them despite major coat weather only lasts a few weeks to maybe a coupla months around here =(. holds me back a little..but not much! any way purchase number 1 -- i love the lines on this jacket!! and the collar detail was too cute!

V267474.jpg

i''m lovin'' the whole mod revival and was soooo tempted to get this swing coat...but i do have some restraint and realize its on the trendy side and i prob won''t think it as cute next year

so i comfored myself with this adorable sweater! Planning to wear it with some skinny jeans tucked into my boots....

V257085_163.jpg

that KINDA look like this, but in leather, not sude with a buckle instead of that weird belt thingie and smaller cuffs around the top.

V266273_CMYK.jpg

and i got this tunic dress to wea with a white turtleneck, thick opaque black tights with either black mary janes or ankle boots

oops..here it is

Grey and navy blue are huge for fall this year!

I got some pretty grey Jimmy Choo more rounded toe pumps, and a pair of leopard Jimmy Choo pumps. They look great with all black or black and white, like a black pencil skirt. a white blouse and then you can do camel accessories with the leopard, since the background is camel.

Got a couple pair of Citizens more high waisted dark jeans.

I got a couple of ruffled sweaters from Tory Burch which look cute.

I also got some cute flats from Tory and a wedge shoe from her as well.

I have my cords by Hudson from last season and loved those, so likely will wear those a lot this fall and winter too!

and some chunkier/heavier jewelry togo with the fall winter stuff

ok didn''t work. i obviousy can''t do the multiple pic thing anymore...so this bracelet

42267247-01.jpg

necklace 1

42747901-01.jpg

and necklace 2 -- lovin these longer chain necklaces that hang 1/2 way to the waist

42598906-01.jpg

Oooo, such fun finds GingerB! OK, where''s the adorable sweater from? Vicky''s???? I just placed an order tonight for a couple sweaters, dang. If I''d seen that one I think I might have gotten it as well...

These are definitely on my "must-have" list...

jctrouser.jpg

This is also a top contender although I can''t decide which color to get at this point, the jacket also comes in a fabulous wool and another whole color palette, oh the choices are endless...
