Could you provide a picture for what you mean by "one glass is broken" on the enamel mourning locket?

Sure thing - I'll have to wait until the morning light for a good picture. Eastern time -5GMT

In the first photo you can see the glass. It’s a very old break, but still secure and wearable and has been like this for a long time.

The date markings are interesting:

And the right side of the locket still has the card stock that supported a photo or woven textile.

I think it is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.

You can see the granulation of the enamel on the inside of the left panel. Originally this would not have been visible - but as it has aged, it’s taken in the echo of a Silhouette Portrait. I wonder if that is what it originally held?

Thanks for the pictures! I'd love to take the locket (sorry for the delay in reply - Easter with two kids got away from me).

Aww thank you so much @yssie your support means a lot. Maybe someday I can find work as a description writer for a jeweller. That would really be a dream come true. In the meantime, I'm listing more small things this week. Just need to get the photos going.

Thank you so much @SillyMonkee here is the link: https://etsy.me/2xwJOku
May you enjoy it and love it! It's very special.

I'm inspired to let some things go.

As usual with of my listings, prices are my cost (inclusive of Etsy fees and shipping), but I know it's ok to take a loss. Such is life! All items are returnable/refundable. Anyway if anyone is interested in any of these, I'll put up more pictures, weigh them and provide more details, and add a link to Etsy. All are available for same-day priority mail shipping. Thanks for looking!

14k-15k antique English bloodstone pendant, circa 1890. Cracked on the reverse but perfectly stable inside its gold bezel, and a bargain. $37.50

10k lingerie pin, seed pearl, interlocking letter "A" - I had planned to use as a clasp on an antique 10k Edwardian chain. The interlocking letters are so pretty, and when you first look at it, it just looks like elegant lace rendered in gold - the "A" is almost a secret cypher.
$49
(please compare to the price for the same item, shown here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/704936388/vintage-diamond-necklace-edwardian-10k?ref=user_profile&frs=1)

14k rose gold chain, 18" together with the mystery snake pendant (marked 18k and sold to me as sapphire, but who knows - could be silver with glass crystals)
$125

Very old very beautiful gold (9k? rolled gold - bale is 14k) black enamel mourning locket with original glass, one glass is broken and this thing is very old and heavy. Sold to me as 14k. I'll be sorry to see it go because as antiques go, this one is sturdy and wearable, and so meaningful! The current Covid19 pandemic makes me understand mourning jewellery on a deeper level than I had before. Hoping this one is deeply treasured.
$119

Listed individually but these look great together. Both sold to me as 14k but I suspect 12k even though I can't have them tested now. Very old rings, one stamped by its maker, the other with no marks. Neither of these would be easy to size.

Band, size 6.75, with one section on the bottom showing wear. This was someone's wedding ring and its engraving is delicate and clear. I paid $175 plus tax and shipping for it, and asking $125 because I think that's as high as it should have gone, just being honest. I know it is rare, and beautiful, but it's an acquired taste, as my grandmother used to say. It annoys me when I see instagram sellers getting $350 for rings like this. Just my opinion. $125

Rose-cut diamond ring, size 7.75 to 8-ish with a split shank. Bought from Louis Wine Ltd, a Toronto antiques dealer on Ruby Lane during a sale. I paid $325 with shipping, now asking $275. The diamond is moody and ghostly - like an antique mirror, and the foil is original. If you wanted to remove the foil, the diamond could be bezeled and place back into the floral head. This is such a beautiful ring! I should have worn it. $275

Thanks for looking!

Thank you so much for my new to me ring! Absolutely love it <3

Oh I’m so glad to hear it! It’s a real beauty + I would love to see some hand shots if you want to share!

The Georgian rose-cut diamond ring is still available and I'm dropping the price to $249 in hopes that someone will give it a good home. Makes a beautiful gift for a little girl that she can play with and not worry about! The diamond can be replaced easily with a bezel-set round stone of any kind. The setting itself is so beautiful and a rare surviving example of an early Dutch buttercup.

Thanks for the locket @PreRaphaelite ! It arrived safely last week but had to quarantine a bit in the garage - was so hard not to open it up immediately. I love the heft of the enamel - it's a very satisfying piece to wear and (gently) play with during meetings.

I’m so glad you like it! Smart cookie, keeping mail quarantined. I do this too. What chain do you use with it? I never could find just the right one.

I wasn't planning to wear this with my engagement ring, but I kinda love it! 20200424_135733.jpg

Also, thank you for the loupe!!! I've always hated my 30x loupe, but refused to buy a new one since it technically works fine. Problem sorted!

Oh this makes me so happy! How wonderful that Elizabeth has a token to touch and play with - she is such a special person and I’m so pleased that the Purple Heart went to such a great little hero.

PRICE DROP - LAST CALL - $199 - FAST SHIP - ADOPT ME - MOTHERS DAY GIFT
IMG_0374.jpg
The rose cut diamond ring is now $199 - honestly it's a huge loss for me but... does anyone want to adopt her? She'd be a beautiful gift, a lovely surprise present for your grandmother or mother, for Mother's Day (and I can ship it in time for it to arrive before May 9th, in time for Mother's Day).

Not listed in this thread, but partially featured in the first pic of post #23, today arrived the strapwork mine cut diamond ring. It is BEAUTIFUL and FIERY! Yes, it’s old (1904) and prongs need a tweak, but the diamond is snug and it’s so UNIQUE... and the date inside (May 7) Is the date my DH proposed to me (on his birthday) (but not 1904). :)

Excuse my horrible pics. This ring is a dream! Thanks to PreRaphaelite for indulging me!

Oh my goodness! This is by FAR the best photo ever! Isn’t the stone a DREAM. I’m so glad you love it! Fun fact: the ring pillow/sachet is from the Venetian in Las Vegas.... this drawstring pouch was the most luxurious thing I could find for you! Anyway your anniversary ring deserves a Honeymoon Suite of it’s own! And happy anniversary this week!
