Yay @bright ice that's great news!!! I love the paraiba-like stones coming out of Mozambique lately, and they don't come with the high brazillian mark up. Imho they can be just as gorgeous and glowy, and less $$. I can't wait to see what you think!

I’ve got 2 new options. The green is a 6+ ct sugarloaf cabochon, the blue is a 4+ ct cab.
Of course the blue is much more expensive per/ct.
I’ll have more specs with photos and videos upcoming.

@Acinom, Please give me your thoughts since you have a sugarloaf and a faceted Paraiba. I ultimately want one of each as I know they are completely different looks. I’ll order one of the cabs to decide which cut I buy first.

If it’s from the same vendor, I would ask for a side by side pic on his hand. I love the intense colouring of the green. Yet the blue could be more glowy. Both have inclusions, but it will probably not bother you at all because of the glow.

I'd second the request for a side by side pic on the hand. I find a lot of gems look great in the studio pic but are totally different when you see them in a natural setting. A video would be great too!

I love the green but I've heard that they don't glow the same way as the blue ones.

And more importantly, where are you finding all these beauties?

The 2 Cabochons are on the way to the US so when the vendor has them in hand later this week I will get the additional information such as dimensions, side by side photos and videos as well.

You are such an amazing Paraiba hunter!

My faceted stone is Windex blue, while my sugarloaf cab is bluegreen. I love the different flavors and I love to enjoy both colors. Both have ‘the glow’

@arkieb1 : you have a green Paraiba. And if I remember correctly yours has the glow? You have seen a lot of stones with your own eyes. Which cab would you recommend for Bright ice?

Personally, I'm drawn more to the blue cab; however, I definitely second others suggestions of hand shots and/or a video. Since you do want that glow, I think more pictures/video are warranted to help you get a better feel for the options. I would also want to know if both have the same treatment (hopefully heat only, no oil) and if either have surface-reaching inclusions.

Yes, I’ve not had time to take photos but I’ll say that I’m not taken with the color. It’s quite light, more like an aquamarine. The seller’s photos must be a bit color enhanced.
