Also, just out of curiosity, do you usually sell your items through consignment? You mentioned in your VCA thread that the seller usually pockets (or loses, depending on your perspective) half the original price. Of course, part of this loss is attributed to the cost of consigning. Granted, a third party consigner brings a higher level of exposure, convenience and safety, so perhaps it’s a price worth paying.

It seems that jewels by grace charges 15-20% of the sale price (with a minimum of $525). If that savings was passed on to the consumer instead, I wonder if that would make a difference for the items selling faster. Just thinking out loud...

@ice empress, I actually just consigned a few smaller items, Hermes scarves, belt, LV etc...with Ann's Fabulous Finds. I could have advertised and tried to sell them myself, but it'd have been just too much of a hassle. And you're right, the level of exposure is way better.

For higher end jewellery items though, I'd either use Grace again or I'd try to sell them myself. I was thinking of selling the Sweet pave 6-motif Alhambra bracelet and may sell the 2018 holiday pendant. And if I can't exchange the Guilloche bracelet, I may end up selling it. Let me know if you're interested in any of these.

ETA: FYI, I did enquire about selling the holiday pendant with Ann's FF. She quoted me a price in line with prices for the other items I already sent to her. I declined. The quotations for that and the other items are how I know how much of a loss I'd end up swallowing. Hirtherto, I'd thought that brands like VCA, Cartier etc retained better value.
