Here is a picture of my first fitting with my new Justina McCaffrey Dress. I am going in for a second next week, because it looks from the pictures that the top needs to be pulled up 1-2 inches. Tiffany

Oooo! Tiffany the dress looks gorgeous, and so do you! Yes, I defintely agree that it''s pulled down too far. But I''m sure it will be pefect after alterations

WOW... you look gorgeous with that perfect body.

I thought it looked great when I was there, but I was just so excited to see it nipped in at the waist, that I forgot to look closely at the top. I am so glad that I took the pictures, because as soon as I looked, it seemed pretty obvious. I didn''t buy the dress where I am having it altered so I think that she is probably not familiar with it. I love, love it though. The alterations place is near my mom''s house in NH so I will go back over easter. I''m glad that I caught it, because the alterations are pretty major. Tiffany

OMG, is that the Magnificat? It looks awesome on you.

Oh my gosh, I am so excited! It is my dream dress! What do you guys think? One or two inches? I don''t want it to make my bustline sag, or to make me look naked....

It is the Magnificat. I fell in love with it, but it was waaaay out of my budget. I bought it preowned for 1/3 the price of new. It looks just like new! It needs to be altered down alot, from a 10 to a 2-4 but fortunatly the bust fits me perfectly, so the seamstress can take in in mainly at the sides.

Ooh, I love the magnificat--one of my favorite dresses that I''ve saved in a file. It looks amazing!! Good for you for finding a deal--those Justinas are mega $$$$!! So maybe I''m missing something but I don''t understand what you mean about pulling up the top. It looks great to me!

This is a picture of the dress on the model, isn''t it up just a touch higher?

Ah, ok, now I see! I thought you meant the bust area but you mean the beaded area around the waist. It actually doesn't bother me where it is now--but I'm not wearing the dress (only in my dreams)! So in comparing it to the model photo, I think it can come up an inch and it probably shouldn't affect the bustline. There must be a way it can be altered without changing the fit around the top. I still think it looks great, no matter what!!

Wow, wow...really liking that dress! You look awesome in it

I think that it will be really simple, because it''s only pinned in the pictures. She just told me to pull it up as high as I thought it should be, and I wasn''t sure. I think that I just have to hold it up about 1-2 inches higher while she pins it and it will be perfect. I just didn''t realize how much space there was between the top of my shoulder and the very start of the top of the dress at the fitting, Look at the train...

Thank you guys! I couldn''t wait to share the pictures! Even my mom who doesn''t usually like beading or pouffy dresses really liked it. She told me that I looked like Cinderella. So nice.

that dress looks absolutely fantastic on you!!!!!! wow!

Absolutely gorgeous!!

But I do agree, the dress needs to come up.

It definitly does. It weighs about 15-20 pounds, so if it dropped at all, it would be super low. I don''t think it will drop at all, but that would be bad...

Beautiful dress on a beautiful gal!

With the alterations it will be beyond perfect!

It is SO beautiful! Congratulations.

You look like a true princess bride!! So beautiful! I see what you mean about the top but I''m sure that''s an easy alteration.

What a beatiful dress and it looks perfect one you!

Your dress is gorgeous. You look lovely in it!

Tiffany - that dress is just perfection on you! And you have such a perfect little figure...you can''t go wrong! Yes, it''s hanging a little low, but once it''s fixed it''ll be jaw-dropping. That gown is simple, yet very striking and very "couture"-looking. GREAT CHOICE!

OMGosh, Tiffany, that dress looks better on you than it does on the model. It looks perfect!!! Those shoes are pretty...you''re gonna look beautiful...gonna, you already do!!

You look gorgeous & I love your dress! I agree that the top needs to come up a bit, though. It''s going to look amazing when it''s finished! (Heck, it looks amazing now!) I love your shoes too.

I am going to bring my mom with me to the next fitting. Sometimes you just need a second opinion for things like this. When I was there for the first fitting I asked the seamstress if it looked a little low and she said no, that''s where it should be, but I think I already knew it should be higher. My mom will tell me if it is not right. At least she didn''t start to sew. I think that the alterations will be pretty straightforward, because nothing else really needs to be changed. I am really happy with the dress, and the shoes. I''m just so happy with the dress. It is my second to be honest. I bought the first one before we got engaged on Ebay. It was very beautiful, but much more simple, no beading no pouf. It was exactly what my mom loves. After we got engaged I decided I had to see what other dresses looked like on, and I literally started jumping up and down when I saw this one. So did my best friend when I tried it on for her. I sold the first dress back on Ebay and managed to make my money back. For a while though there were 2 wedding dress boxes in our living room. Poor FI.... I am glad you guys agree it needs to be pulled up. I felt crazy calling the seamstress the same day I had been in...
