Yeah I'm liking the 1.59. It looks like a 2 ct since it is 6.9mm. I am hoping the stones look as good in person as they do in the pictures! Should be at my doorstep on Thursday.

Well I'm open to both. I told David to look into both round and cushion stones for the ring. I am hoping when I see the model and the stones, I will have my answers.

The round looks beautiful but the cushions are just as great. I just hope I fall in love with one of them to move on to the next stages.

Very picture heavy. Finally got home from my business trip to look at Roger's stones. At the end of the day, I really liked the cut of the round and the color is really good too. I did like the color of the 1.58 cushion but I felt the round looked better at multiple angles and fit more with what I wanted.

I am not the best photographer with jeweler so please don't mind the poor quality of pictures.

Yep! At first I leaned towards one of the cushions but after comparing the two in natural light outside, the round was so much better. Roger did a fantastic job with the cut! It is already sent to David Klass!

I did not. If it is anything like the 1.53 stone, it is a beautiful blue. Very blue and vivid. I didnt ask him to send me the 2.73 since it wasn't a contender for me.

Here is the update from DK with the 6.9 mm round stone setting. I told him to switch the double prong to a single prong. Other than that everything looks ok to me.

So I haven't heard anything from DK since 6/29. I have called and left a few emails. Just wondering if this wait time is normal. Just anxious now.

How does the ring look so far? In your honest opinion, Is the halo too thick? Or is it just because the diamonds aren't there yet?

I think it looks great, but I am admittedly bad at "reading" pieces that aren't complete. I think the halo looks think because it's empty right now, and won't look that way once diamonds are in it, but I'd wait for more experienced candidates posters opinions to make sure they agree

This is true regrading the pave and engraving. Thanks for that!

He gave me the estimate that it should be ready to ship next week. So it is exciting to see how everything nets out.

Late to the thread but such helpful advice. I also preferred the round stone when showed with others. It was such a nice bright blue. Elle's was also lovely, lovely! Very interested to see final project. What a good job you have done researching and finding just the right stone and setting for your bride! Best Wishes

Since it is already cast, I guess it's too much of a hassle to tweak it now. I'm sorry I didn't keep up with your thread until today as I would have preferred the angle of the halo to be tilted outwards ever so slightly as it helps ease that "bulky" look. It is still a gorgeous stone and setting though!

Yep! Already paid for it and it'll be shipped Monday. Since the future fiancé doesn't follow David on social media, I have also given him the okay to post on his accounts as well.
