Found this dress that I like -- wondering if the crystals would rub on your arms all night, though! lol.

What dresses are you ladies into?

A friend of mine recently got married and her BM dresses were a similar style to that (they looked beautiful) and they did mention that their arms got scuffed up from the crystals and it got annoying.

HAHA Having "scuffed up arms" it reminds me of like middle school and high school dances, and those glittery spandex material dresses, that itched, rubbed, and caused rashes on your arms! HAHA That wasn''t even the best park..... the best was how there was damn glitter EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm well there were no glitter dresses in my day but there was glitter make-up. Which I wasn't wearing. But which somehow (I wonder how?!?

) ended up all over my date's face...

I do think that dress would irritate the arms. I have a few tops with sequins on them and I find they irritate after a few hours.

For me, I like the San Patrick line by Pronovias. Have you seen Mandarine's wedding photos?

It took me ages to figure out what kind of an e-ring I want. So I think it'll take me even longer to find a wedding dress!

Not to mention, I'm hard to fit even when it comes to regular clothes. I'm thin but slightly pear shaped and for some reason it's near impossible to find things that are cut for my body! I'm pretty small up top too, which doesn't help my fit issues.

I've resorted to tailoring things, even had to take in the shoulders of a dress I wore for the last wedding we attended. But it's an additional expense and semi-risky in that they could ruin the piece of clothing altogether if it goes badly!


Strapless in general look HORRID on me. So unless there's something magical about wedding dresses, I'll probably be staying away from strapless for that too. Which is really limiting because it seems to comprise the majority of dress styles lately. I don't care for spaghetti straps much on wedding dresses either. Perhaps a halter, v-neck or slight capsleeve?

I'm hoping that it will all come together someday when I actually try dresses on. Maybe I will luck out and love one of the first dresses I try. Probably not, but I can dream...

I hear ya on the hips thing! Those mermaid silhouette dresses frighten me. I definitely have some curves, and I just don''t know how well they''d do in a dress like that!

I have problem finding wedding dresses because I''m such a simple person. I don''t like lace, or lots of detail. You''d think that would make it easier, but I SWEAR its impossible to just find a simple dress!

Fiery, I recently went to a wedding where the bride wore the dress on the first link you posted. It looked amazing on her! For the reception they bustled (sp?) it in 3 places with pins and it was TDF!!

I''ve been looking at dresses some.. but I have a really full bust.. hips that dont end.. so I have NO idea where to start. I also have several scars on my arms that I hate people seeing (questions..) so I want something with long sleeves... I don''t think they even make dresses like this.

This isn''t really a wedding dress but this is a bridesmaid dress that both myself and my best friend loved. I am her MOH (YAY

) so I get to go dress shopping. I''m so excited. Anyway, we were going to go with this dress for me but now she''s having a Caribbean themed wedding on the beach so it doesn''t really go. But its still beautiful:
