For The Coat Freaks..

I am an absolute coat queen! I have to admit that its an addiction...25 leather coats and a handful of wool and others. If I buy one more coat or jacket h2b is gonna kill me!

However...I must have this jacket!!

Anyone else suffer from the same addiction?

3 months out of the year it is cool enough here to wear something other than a tank top and shorts. i take full advantage of it.

I used to have a coat fetish. I bought coats almost everytime I traveled. Problem is that few places in CA are really cold enough to wear the 30 or so coats I had, so I''ve weaned myself from buying them, but still love them. That''s a GREAT one.

Lop, I''m very lucky. I can wear jackets and coats from mid September all the way through March. I''m running out of room in the two closets I''ve taken over so its either stop (

Isn''t it just yummy?? My favorite seasons are fall and winter..for obvious reasons, lol. I found that coat in the Newport News Catalog.

They have a TON of gorgeous stuff! I''m fixin'' to go broke because of them, hehe.

Not that NN has bad prices, but when you see a coat like this do you ever think about transforming an old coat into the current style by adding the ''fur'' collar, ribbon, new buttons, piping? I think about that all the time, "Oh I can make that from that sweater I never wear anymore" but I never ever do

I''ve got coats everywhere - and only get to wear them a few months out of the year but it''s my favorite part of picking out something to wear when its cold outside!! Long coats, short coats, leather, wool... love them all... A couple of years ago I was soooooooo sad because I lost my FAVORITE long red leather jacket (sounds very uncool, but it was such a great jacket) in a bar...

Even my friends were sad because they loved that coat too!!! Then one day I did an ebay search & found one just like it so I snatched it up - I was so happy!!! And my friends cheered the return of my really cool red leather jacket!!!

Actually, yes! LOL. I bought two identical denim jackets and sewed a mink collar onto one of them when the fur collar jackets were just making it big. Instead of $125 I only paid $20.00 for the one jacket and found the mink collar at a thrift store for $5.00. Real fur too

I STILL wear it and I''ve had it for about three years now.

I have a loooooong black hooded velvet cape that I bought and wore to the Phantom of the Opera. It weighs like fifteen pounds but its oooooh so pretty and soft. Only worn it once but that's the one thing I would keep forever even if I never wear it again.

I may have to break out the digital and take a few shots of some of my favorites

I'm another coat freak. I love ornate peacoats and anything that accentuates my waist.

I would NEVER wear fur, though.

PS I trust that people are aware that much of "rabbit" fur, particularly on items made in China, is actually dog or cat fur?

I love that coat. But at 50 yrs. old, it would look totally stupid on me. But how I wish I could pull it off. I am a young 50 though!
