Weekend after Memorial day would be great for me (weekend before I''ll be in LA)..think that''s the 31st?

I left my car in LA, so if it is not in the city I vote for a place that I can get to easily with public transit. I have taken CalTrain before to get to Atherton and that was no problem...but if it is complicated to get to from the train station that could be an issue...
Where do you live? We might be able to find a carpool solution for you, or a PSer might be willing to pick you up from Bart and drive you to Stanford. I could do it, depending on where you Bart-ed into.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that you have problems buying shoes. I assume you already know about Nordstrom and Zappos.com? I'm a 5, so I just squeak by.

I haven't posted much about my wedding, but I'll be married this summer at the Fort Mason Parade Ground in San Francisco, near Neatfreak's site. We're keeping it pretty casual, so I'm wearing the JCrew Goddess dress. SuLi was considering it at one point and posted pictures here if you want to see it. The 4P fit me perfectly (I'm not as thin as SuLi's 2P, darn) and is very flattering when worn with a nice supportive bustier underneath. It just needs about an inch of hemming and perhaps a bit of strap adjustment. I'm super excited. Thanks for asking!

great choice in dress! sounds like it'll be a wonderful wedding!

Count me in for a May GTG! I would be in heaven getting to see all your bling live!

I live in Russian Hill, near the Fisherman''s Wharf area. I can take Caltrain easily though...so that will probably work!

Can''t wait to meet the bay area gals...

i''m hoping widget can make a may GTG.....

Okay so I''ll start a May GTG thread soon. I promise. I hope Widget can make it too. She''s made the last two!

Okay so... for tomorrow. YAY! I''m SO looking forward to this. 3 pm. I will MOST LIKEY be wearing a black top and dark jeans. Asscher girl and I know each other, she''s a GORGEOUS (like insanely) and tall lady, and thin-- used to be blond, but last pic on BWW had her as a brunette. Look for her thin pave band and lovely asscher from GOG. I will be wearing my engagement ring, a plain shanked halo asscher. I got these cute flats, they are pewter and have HUGE bling on them a little while ago, so I will likely be wearing the bling shoes. John may be with me. He''s got a shaved head. About 5 foot 10. We are in our thirties. It shows.

You will know your PSers normally by their rings, and the fact that they are staring at other''s rings, looking to identify you! LOL.

I''m sure someone can work something out with you! If not, I''ll pick any SF Psers up at the station before the GTG myself. No worries.

Hi girls! I''m so looking forward to this too! This is my first gemshow.

Gypsy, you''re too sweet! where is that little blushing smiley face?
9.gif
My hair is still pretty dark and long w/ caramel highlights. I''m sorta tan, I''m working on it, LOL. I think I''ll have on a cap sleeve top in aqua w/ jeans and a silver metallic medium size handbag. If I decide to change to a different shirt, I''ll be sure to post. And I''m in my late twenties. Oh and I''ll be wearing my new bezel diamond studs

So are we going to meet at the entrance at 3? I don''t know how this place is laid out so if anyone has any other ideas, feel free to share.

Gypsy - I''m going to email you w/ some exciting news for tomorrow. Don''t think I should post on here but I''ll share w/ the other ps''ers tomorrow.

I assumed we were meeting at the enterance. I hope we are!!!

It's going to be hot out tomorrow folks. Was beauitful today.

OK, it looks like (fingers crossed) I might be able to join you guys today. I''m a fairly petite brunette and I''ll be carrying a camel-colored Dooney+Bourke bag - I''ve met Gypsy and Asscher girl before, so hopefully I''ll recognize somebody
2.gif

Yay AmberG!!! I emailed Gypsy my cell # in case we can''t find each other. Were you included in an email Gyp sent out last week? If so what does you email address start with? I''ll look it up and email you my cell #.

See all of you in a few hours!

YAY! I''m SO excited We''re going to have a blast. Jumping in the shower now! See you all at 3:00.

Hey Girls! I had so much fun today!!!
36.gif
Glad all of you could make it.

I went ahead and took pics of the gems I bought today. I''m going to post all three options. I think I''ll go ahead and send out some emails this weekend to some ps vendors for quotes.

Please feel free to cast your vote on which white topaz to use.

Oh and for the specs:
Purple amethyst - approx 5 - 6 cts
White topaz - approx .5 cts - (3) shapes total: round, emerald, and square cushion ( the last was hard to photograph)
Blue topaz - approx 5 - 6 cts

I fell in love w/ this neckace from Tiff''s a while back but when I tried it on in the store it was wayyyyy too small (and too $$$ for what it is). So I think this super size one will do just fine

Again, I had a blast. Can''t wait to see everyone in late May!!!

I had fun too! It was great meeting everyone and seeing all of your beautiful rings. I hope I didn''t come across as unfriendly; I''m not much of a talker. I did truly enjoy spending time with you.

door #2 with the EC, please! elegant and looks better than the original you''re using for design purposes! and i like the amethyst on top!

Hi Urseberry! Glad you had fun, it''s great that you were able to come. And your weren''t unfriendly at all
1.gif
I look forward to hanging out with you again in late May!

Thanks Movie Zombie! I appreciate your input

Ooh...I like all three with the pictures - much easier to see than when we were trying to hold them up all at once

I''m torn between the EC and the round - I think both would be lovely. I''m so excited to see the final product

It was nice meeting you gals. I''m glad I just happened to standing close enough to hear "Whiteflash", a dead giveaway that you''re from PS! You all were very nice to hang out with.

I love your pendant combo, asscher girl. It''s going to be pretty, the colors are really vivid. Your asscher is gorgeous, too. I want an upgrade!! I need at least a 1.5 ct!

urserbeyy, your ring is so pretty and feminine. You did a great job with your pre-PS selection. You must have a good eye for diamonds.

Gypsy, I LOVE your halo. When I was looking to get mine set I was concerned that a halo might conflict with an asscher but after seeing yours I think it enhances it.

AmberGretchen, pretty 3 stone and NICE CHOICE an the WF 3/4 eternity!! Your hubby was a dear to come along.

Thanks for coming up with the idea, Gypsy, I look forward to a another GTG in May.

Chiming in late... came home, grabbed a shower, some dinner and FELL ASLEEP. LOL.

I have FUN today. In that heat and with the limited selection of everything but BEADS only PSer company made the whole thing fun! Urs...you weren't unfriendly at all honey! Now why would you think that?
33.gif
It was lovely meeting you, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with you again at the next GTG!!

Wow Asscher it's great to see them laid out like that! They photographed very well did they? I'm torn too. I like all the looks. I think the EC gets my vote too. It was the one I liked best in person. YAY.
36.gif

ETA: I'm gonna have to wait till day light to take pics of the pear shaped topaz and citrine I bought, citrine is concave cut, huge, and windowed, but I fell for it.

asscher_girl, gypsy, thanks for reassuring me that I didn''t seem unfriendly. I''m just paranoid I guess - it''s a comment that I''ve gotten in the past.

swingirl, it was such a treat to see your Leon in person! The workmanship is incredible. And thank you for the sweet compliments on my own ring. To be fair, I wasn''t completely ignorant about diamonds. At the time when I picked out the stone and setting, I had discovered another diamond forum, just not Pricescope.

asscher_girl, your necklace is going to be amazing. I vote for the round.

AmberGretchen, all of your jewelery is so bright and beautiful. I don''t think I got a chance to tell you that I was mesmerized by the sparkle coming from your rings, earrings, and pendant, especially under all those lights. And congrats on the weight loss - you look phenomenal.

Urse - I also didn't think you were unfriendly at all - I am often more quiet and shy (if you can imagine that haha

) with crowds of people I don't know well, so I completely get how it feels to be accused of being unfriendly when really you're not at all. I thought you were lovely company and I really enjoyed meeting you - ditto Gypsy, I hope you can make it to the next GTG
9.gif

Thank you so much for the lovely compliments on my pieces - I really have to give all the credit to Whiteflash, because except for the e-ring center stone, everything is from them. And if I'd found PS sooner, I'd have gotten my center stone from them too (and will someday when I'm able to upgrade).

Gypsy honey - I just have to say again how much I adored your ring in person, the scale of it was truly perfect and elegant and classic
30.gif
I'm super-fussy about how stuff looks on my short stubby hands, but when I tried on that ring, the elegance of it made even my short fingers look nice, and that's saying something!

Swingirl - it was awesome to see your ring in person. I truly don't think Leon's work can be fully appreciated until you see a ring like that, the workmanship is just breathtaking. I'm so glad you were there and willing to share it with us
36.gif

Asscher, as always, your ring was mesmerizing - its just totally elegant, the whole package. I can't wait to see how that pendant works out - I think its going to be smashing. And I'm also excited to see your whole wedding set at the next GTG, Ms. soon-to-be-married lady
2.gif

Oh and urse (and Miss Gypsy) - thank you so much for the nice compliments about the weight loss. I certainly didn''t do it for compliments, but sometimes I am kind of surprised that more people don''t seem to notice in my daily life - I mean, I think that 50 lbs is pretty noticeable on a 5''3" frame, but I don''t know if maybe its just too awkward for people to comment? Anyway, I know Gypsy saw this, but Urse if you want a comparison point, I posted a before shot in this thread, which kind of gives a sense of the change.

Sounds like you guys had a blast! I am soooooooooooo insanely jealous!!!
