Gene's newest stones (precision gem)

The orange sapphire has sold, but the blue zircon is still available. I’m hoping someone will buy it soon ;)). I am on a stone buying ban and want the zircon badly to make in to a three stone with diamond sides. It’s sooo tempting!

It has a gorgeous elongated shape and I think it would look amazing as a three stone? ;)2

:cry2:the lilac sapphire was gone before I realized it was for sale.

I am very clueless about the world of colored stones, but lately Elle's posts have been really inspiring me. I love the Precision cut stones that you all have been posting! I'd love to know your thoughts on the 1.055 carat sapphire (Gem2213). It looks like it is not the same color throughout the stone. It is clearer towards the outside of the stone. I like that look, but I'm curious if that is generally not considered as desirable?

Btw, that lilac sapphire is gorgeous!

Have you seen Gene’s video for that sapphire? It looks beautiful. I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are some people who only want the absolute perfect gemstone (which, of course comes with the highest price tags) and other people who love gems for the things that make them unique (Plus, you can get a bargain that way). All of my paraibas, for instance, are pretty well included...and I love them just the way they are. For what it’s worth, sapphires can definitely show signs of color zoning. I think it just depends what your comfortable with.

Yes, I think it is absolutely gorgeous. In the video it looks different than in the close up photo, but I like both very much. The world of colored gems is so vast that it is hard for me to figure out exactly what I like best. Blue is my favorite color, and I really like the beautiful cuts of these gems. I will keep thinking about this stone.

The most interesting thing about gemstones is that there are so many different variations within even one color family. It’s probably the reason I have multiple pinks and multiple blue/greens. It’s a journey. Take your time...you’ll know the right gem when you see it. :D

I had to grab that chrome tourmaline. I had one several years ago, but it was too dark for my liking (even though it was probably trade ideal). This one looks bright and tsav-like.

I’m glad it was you. I love the color on that one and it was the standout piece for me. I can’t wait to see your pics.

The tourmaline looks amazing and what a great price! I hope someone here got it and will share photos.
@NKOTB Did your Chrome Tourmaline arrive yet? I would love to see more pictures once you have it in hand :)).

I tried to snag the tourm for a friend but it sold super fast!

Chrome not here yet, will post pics when it arrives!

Gingercurls has some supper comparable items for sale on loupetroop

even one from Gene which looks if anything like it has nicer colour than the more recent drop.

I’m surprised his light yellow sapphire hasn’t sold yet. It would look amazing with a halo.

These two little beauties arrived today. Chrome tourmaline and lavender sapphire. Chrome pictured with my tsav that Gene also cut, lavender pictured with another green garnet from him, as well as a mahenge that Peter cut. Felt like a springy combo. 49AE884D-FBF8-47A6-BAE2-A80774C0B525.jpeg7A7AE3A5-9953-49BD-9E44-E50B76419837.jpeg499EFBB5-5669-4FF1-A5ED-F08B5FD1D90E.jpeg04300B5D-3962-404C-B754-3ABDA820C393.jpeg135EC69B-2888-44FA-9D5E-ED2D528835CE.jpeg8B15A4C7-202A-45D8-8575-D9160B14C90E.jpegAC372625-E6EB-41CA-AED1-7B51C7BFD35B.jpeg20C8AF76-187E-468D-8689-84670D258258.jpeg46ACC9F6-F2AA-4355-A55B-3C1F00293ED7.jpeg52BD13FD-2748-45C6-83DE-6DEC54231B97.jpeg5C53EF42-7CA1-4AA9-9805-B3BB1398FFBA.jpeg

Wow! They are all gorgeous stones . I love greens and yours are beautiful!

Oh, wow! That chrome tourmaline looks spectacular! In fact, everything on your hand is drool worthy.:love::love:

I'm glad someone got the imperial garnet. I need nothing but I loved the color.

I wonder how that lab created cobalt spinel and "hot red" looks like in real life

I hope it’s someone here that got the pink sapphire.
Would love to see more pics of that culet!

Still super happy with my stones from Gene as well! (See blue sapphire in my avatar pic—beautiful in every light!)
