It’s a kind of synthetic garnet with a paraiba color. There’s some talk on it over in the Fabulous Fashion section. That color made it pretty popular. ;)2

How much was the mint garnet? It’s no longer on his website.

the stones kept picking up blue from what I was wearing. Irl the mint garnet is light green and the mint tourmaline blue-green

I’d actually only ordered the garnet and tourmaline, but was accidentally sent the YAG instead of the garnet by mistake and then Gene asked me to keep the YAG and then sent me the garnet after he got it back from his other client (don’t worry, I heard he was going to custom cut her another YAG). So apart from the initial worry ended up totally happy with what happened since I got 3 stones instead of 2 (ikr!!)…:P2

Does nobody like that tourmaline?? It's so beautiful and so cheap! I liked it so much, I bought it without a second thought O_O Had to do it before it escaped my grasp like so many other things. And now I just have to pay for it, when I get to a secure wifi. I spent too much for gifts (for others and myself) and supplies for a new place, but I just couldn't pass this up.

I think the tourmaline is really pretty. It’s such a cool cut too!

I really liked the tourmaline, too, but I was trying and succeeded in exercising sooner self control. I have too many gems to set to spend money acquiring new gems.

I got the tourmaline! It’s beautiful and has a uni ur cut but not quite the color I’m really into so I’m thinking of returning or selling it.
