Old Blue Sapphire Pendant. Belonged to my grandmother according to my mom hence she won’t let me touch the setting. A bit of a background she gave me this as a present in college as Blue Sapphire is my birthstone.


Color Change Diaspore or Zultanite purchased in Turkey by my sisters as a present.

Sometimes small stones make a big impact. Multi strand Sleeping Beauty Mine Turquoise Necklace side by side with a pair of Chinese 20mm Faceted Turquoise Bracelets. And an old 50 carat Persian Turquoise Cabochon. The difference in colors are simply amazing.

Carved Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Rhodolite beads accentuated by Diamonds

I believe this deserves a repost. The CS may not be substantial in size but what they lack in size they make up for impact.

I bought them from my mom’s jeweler years back. Even have little carved Leaves, butterflies and fishes lol. She had the most amazing loose gems before she closed down.

That’s just the kind of thing that I love...carved gems have such a magic about them! I love how petite and finely carved those ones are!

@Jadeite_101 I'm loving your collection. Are these pieces you have designed yourself or do you have a favourite retailer(s) you'd be happy to share? I'm thinking I need me some of these big beads and window shopping would be a great way to start. (Having jokingly mentioned emerald beads for a bracelet I can't get the idea out if my head though I don't know if such a thing would even be possible (never mind affordable!)).

Oh self design but some pieces were a collaboration with a friend who specializes in beads and Jadeite. The design process takes months because everything is made in Hong Kong. You can imagine the logistics considering I’m from the Philippines. I usually stock up on loose beads, gems and carved material before anything happens. Sometimes they remain unset for years before a design in my head pops up. Some stones come from my mom’s personal collection of jewelry and I just reset them when I feel they’re too dated. I think you can tell we have a thing for beads lol.

Omg the quality on those Aquamarines! Usually at those sizes and carved ones to boot they become increasingly included like the ones I have.

Jadeite_101 your pieces are beautiful. I'm looking for sources of high quality gemstone beads. As I'm just learning to set stones, I still mostly create beaded pieces but I want to increase the quality of the stones I use. Do you, or anyone else, have any suggestions? TIA
