Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, LOL on the tumor. I had a minor migraine this weekend and it felt like I had an ice pick above my left eye. Fortunately it's almost gone, but it's traveling down my neck and around my left shoulder now. Great...

Yesterday I have to confess I didn't get a ton done. It was like everything I touched spiraled a little out of control. But today will be better!

I spent the night at TR's and got on the road about half an hour later than usual this morning. Strangely, I didn't get to work much later than I normally would leaving earlier... ? I am learning the tricks of the highway though, and there is one spot where you would think you'd want to be in the far left lane, but in reality you want to be far right. I keep forgetting about that and then I'm trapped too far over.

We're supposed to hit 60 here today! But then snow again in the forecast next week. What.Ev.Er.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, having an ice pick above your eye can't have been fun. I am glad your migraine is almost gone. I hate those migrating pains; I hope that gets better soon. I didn't tell Marty I was getting a brain tumor because I know exactly what his comment would have been about needing a brain first. Blah Blah Blah.

I do hope your day was better with nothing spiraling out of control.

Good deal you made it to work at your usual time and figuring out what lane to be in on your way back from TR. I hate being stuck in traffic.

60 degrees sounds great. We were in the 50's and it was very nice.

Not much going on here today. My "tumor" hurts less until I start poking on it again. I went to lunch with a friend today and we both vented about work and our employees. Tomorrow is the big team meeting where supposedly our senior manager is telling everyone life as they knew it is over and not to expect good scores on their appraisals or any raises. I'll believe it when I hear it. After that discussion I plan on throwing some salt on the wound and tell my team if they want to help themselves succeed they need to knock off this, that and the other thing.

I stopped and had fast food on the way home tonight. I was picking up things around the house when I got home and Marty sent me a text that made me jump. His alert is a bunch of Minions laughing and it really started me. He said that was just a bonus.

Tomorrow is hump day already. Sweet.

Happy Wednesday kids!

Curby, LOL on having to have a brain to have a brain tumor! But STOP poking at it, ha ha.

Last night was totally uneventful and I really enjoyed it... TR had a meeting that was supposed to run late (which actually turned out not to be the case, but by the time we realized that it didn't make sense to go up there) so I read a book and went to bed early. Oh, and of course we talked on the phone for two hours (!). I also picked up a new client last night. She's a friend of a friend and as a courtesy I talked her through a different deal that she was trying to get done with another agent a little while ago. Well that deal fell through and now she's come back to me and asked me to help her. That's the good news... the bad news is the thing she most wants to see, which came on the market two days ago, has seven offers on it and the sellers just accepted one of them. Ugh. Oh well, maybe that will be a motivating factor for her!

Tonight I'm taking the shoe store lady to see a small retail space in a cute little neighborhood pedestrian mall. It's currently set up as offices, so it would have to be built out, but it would be perfect for her. We will see...

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, now my tumor only hurts when I touch it - so I know - stop touching it.
I am totally smiling that you talk to TR on the phone for 2 hours. Young love is so cute. :appl:

That's great you got a new client and I hope you find something that is just right for her; darn that she was a bit late on the place that was perfect That spot does sound good for the shoe lady. Business places are sure pricey here.

My expectations for the senior manager's meeting was quickly dashed. Instead of reading them a well deserved riot act he made it sound like it's okay you are getting bad scores on your appraisals. JOY! He did tell them what range to expect and not to expect any raises. I will follow up with them in the morning and I'm telling them some of the harsh reality. My victim mentality hyper negative employee made some comment in the meeting today about being told none of them are eligible to be employee of the month. Naturally my boss followed up with her and she basically refused to go talk to him. She finally did but wouldn't shut the door and said she doesn't feel comfortable being in a room alone with him. I did hear some shouting. Apparently she claims he said that and she is also accusing him of talking about her chest and saying her diabetes was her fault. She completely hears what she wants to hear. He reported it to HR and I guess he and I will be having a meeting with them about her. The fun never ends.

I made mini pizza for supper tonight and saved 1/2 of the one I cooked for tomorrow night. I guess I wasn't very hungry. I did choke down a cookie though.

Take care.
Curby

Happy rainy Thursday kids!

Curby, WTF on how the manager's meeting panned out?! And actual shouting? Woah... Not to mention if your boss really did say what that woman says he did, double woah... Whatcha got there Cuby is An Actual Situation. I suggest you start keeping a flask in your desk!

Last night the shoe lady and I saw the space. If she had money to build it out it *might* work... but she doesn't. So we will keep looking. After viewing the space we went to dinner at a Mexican place that was really pretty horrible. I knew that because I'd been there before with the CB a couple of years ago, but that's where she wanted to go. Plus, I had a regular margarita so that meant I was scratching like a monkey all night long from the citrus. Ack.

Today I would like to clean the book cases. Unfortunately I don't have any more tack cloths, which I like to use because they trap the dust rather than letting it fly all over my house, so I'm not sure if that's actually going to happen. Plus, if the CB found out that I climbed up on the ten foot ladder without anyone here to supervise I would be in big trouble. He's not my CB any more, but he still does care if I plunge to my death in the interest of cleanliness, ha ha.

Finishing a second cup of coffee right now as I contemplate getting out of bed...

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, that employee would twist and misinterpret anything to her advantage. She is happy as can be today too. Joy! Good plan to get a flask for my desk. I actually had one at one time; it was empty but fun anyway. They are moving my best employee to another department starting Monday but giving me an employee who worked for me about 5 years ago. He was quick and accurate so that is good; however he has been a supervisor and is basically being demoted so who knows how well that will work out. He wasn't very good in management. My 2 negative employees were rather jealous of him when he was in there before since he made them look bad. Maybe they'll quit. I can only hope.

Darn that place won't work out for the shoe lady. That sucks about the margarita making you itch so bad. I am finding good tequila makes me really sick; cheap stuff doesn't bother me at all. Strange, huh?

Good call not to climb a 10 foot ladder to dust when no one is there. None of us want you plunging to your death or severe bodily damage.

Based on the employee swaps drama today I basically didn't do a darned thing at work. It was fun! I met a friend for lunch so that broke up the monotony.

I am freezing tonight (shocking I know). If I wanted to get out from under my blanket I'd turn on the fireplace.

Tomorrow is Friday! Woo hoo!
Curby

Happy Friday kids!

Curby, good that you're getting an employee that is quick and accurate... but bad that he might not be happy in the role. I hope all the kids in your playground learn to play nicely together and don't kill each other in the process!

Yesterday I took my client to see five properties, none of which she really loved. Two were great, but had some minor flaws. I realized her expectations might be too high when she dismissed those two for reasons that were not really big deals when everything else was really go good. Rut ro... I just sent her 21 more to look through and we're going to make another outing tomorrow.

Today I'll go and see the shoe lady. I haven't been up there in ages and I really hope this doesn't turn into an allllll day event.

I've reached the point that I need a new laptop. My Lenovo has been a POS since the day I got it, and now the mouse only works intermittently. My old laptop, which is my back-up, has to be plugged in to work because the battery gave up the ghost, and now it is freezing up on my. I had to try to turn the search for my client six times (three times on my Lenovo before I finally gave up last night) and three times on my old laptop this morning before I could finally get through it. So frustrating!!! I hate getting new technology through, and the idea of going to Best Buy makes me want to start drinking NOW, even though I'm still in bed in my jammies... UGH.

Hi Kids! Happy Weekend!

Dee Jay, I hope my slacker employees realize once I have a quick and accurate employee I can afford to eliminate one or two of them. It will be interesting. The senior VP had a "round table" for all supervisors or above yesterday. I don't have a good feeling for this guy anyway. We get there and he has a list on the board of some of the things that changed since we moved to the other company last year. Then he starts singling out people asking what they might add to the list. And I am sure not coincidentally they were the ones who complained a lot on our training classes. He is all nice and chatty about things and agrees yes that was a shock, etc. Then he tells us some contrived story about realizing he is always being negative and complaining and he should be happy about his job. And then SMACK! It was Suck it Up, Buttercup. This is reality, deal with it. I feel sorry for those who complained.

Good luck with your client; it sounds like initially anyway they are being particular.

How was your trip to the see the shoe lady?

Did you go laptop shopping? I am a fan of Mac's. I had the Mac Air first and now have the Mac Book Pro. I've had good luck with them.

We have been lazy so far this weekend. Marty was already home when i got off work yesterday. He and one of his buddies were lifting weights when I got home so I cooked myself supper. We watched TV and caught up on the week. This morning I out a haircut and we met some friends for lunch. They picked up our recumbent bike and a lady from work is coming over tonight to pick up our treadmill. I'll be glad to get them out of the man cave.

It was really nice here yesterday and it is quite nice again today. Tomorrow the wind and snow returns. Phooey.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Happy Sunday kids!

Curby, I took my client to see eight properties yesterday (with a small break for donuts between four and five, LOL). We finally had the conversation about "something's gotta give; you Do Not Get Everything You Want." I'm not sure she 100% gets it yet, but I'm hoping she will arrive there soon. Today we're going to two open houses and I'm trying to get us into a third property but the agent hasn't responded yet.

Last night I went out to the 'burbs and met TR for a drink. He attended a dinner event out there, but bailed early to meet me. We weren't together long because he had to get back to the baby sitter, but the plan is for him to come down tonight.

The boathouse went on the market on Thursday and I got an offer yesterday. It's a pretty good offer and they want all the furniture, etc., so that will save me from having to figure out how to get all that stuff out of there. We've got another showing today though so waiting to see how that turns out. The good news is at least I know my worst case scenario, and frankly it's pretty damn good! I get out more than whole, including all the ancillary stuff, and it's a cash deal with a fast close.

I'm having thoughts of dusting the book cases today... will see how that turns out, ha ha.

WOT??? Selling your boathouse DJ--you put so much work into it!

cheers--Sharon

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I hope your client finds exactly what she wants (or close) so you don’t end up showing her dozens of places. Donuts do sound great.
LOL to going out to the burbs for a drink with TR. How old are his kids again?
Good luck with selling the boat house. Everything is pretty much brand new so you shouldn’t have any problem selling it and I hope you end up with a fantastic offer. Your first offer with a cash deal sounds promising. So are you already thinking about your next project yet?
Good luck dusting the book case. Be safe on that ladder.

Hi Sharon.

I have a sore throat and I am sneezing. I am chilly sometimes (okay that is normal) and really tired. When I made our raw veggie plate for lunch I work food prep gloves. Of course Marty probably gave me his crud but why pass it back and forth?

I made a Marcy McMuffin for breakfast and we had steaks cooked on the grill for lunch. It was lucky we ate when we did because the wind is kicking up again this afternoon.

I am down to towels in the dryer so I am almost done with that chore.

Take care.

Happy Monday kids!

Hi Sharon! Yes... the boathouse gotta go. Now that the CB is out of the picture (and it was his boat that sat in the slip) there's no real reason for me to keep it. I'm hopeful this deal comes together swiftly and easily and we can have a successful close on April 10. I'm waiting for word on my counter offer now, so fingers crossed!

Curby, I'm not sure what my next project will be yet. I likely won't do anything in that area right now, but there's always the possibility I will jettison my current city home and redo something here again. I'm waffling on that right now because it works out well for my and TR's situation, but I am going to be realistic and put Dee first in this one. We see how the boathouse (where the CB's interests per put first) turned out, LOL.

Yesterday I did a little cleaning up and took my client to see a few things. She and I had lunch and then I took a nap while I waited for TR to come down. We went to bed early... that's all I'm saying, LOL. Tonight I'm supposed to go to his house, but my assistant just told me the weather is supposed to be bad tonight/tomorrow morning, so that could change.

Two more people left to train! One of them is up in 8 minutes and the other is an hour after that. Anybody taking bets on whether these two show up?!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, good luck with your counter offer on the boat house.
I think it's a good idea to put Dee first in your decision with your home and whether to start over again somewhere else.
Oh no to possible bad weather preventing your trip to visit TR. Hopefully it's one of those forecasts that never materializes. Hurry up June!
I am betting you still have one person to train. Do I win a prize?

My sneezing intensified earlier today but has calmed down. My sore throat is better and my cough has become rare. Maybe I am through the worst of it. I am still not convinced it was anything other than allergies.

I've been browsing sapphire pendants; ooh shiny. Do you remember that pendant we have alike? The teardrop shape? I am thinking of having a sapphire put in it; I really like the pendant but never wear it anymore since i have that YG diamond pendant.

When I walked in the door tonight I dropped my phone on the wooden floor. It was very LOUD! Marty sent me a text from the man cave asking what the h*ll was that? I told him that is the sound dropping about $1200 on the floor sounds like. He didn't find it funny. Everything seems to work fine though. Yippee!

Have a fabulous evening.
Curby

Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, the buyers wouldn't move off of their number so I ended up taking the the deal as it was. Fine with me -- I'm still more than whole. And LOL on the sound of dropping $1200 on the floor!

And I'm happy to report there is no prize for you! All of my peeps Have Been Trained! :appl:

The weather started to get bad late afternoon yesterday so I stayed downtown. One of my neighbors came over and we caught up over a bottle of prosecco. TR went to a movie and then we talked on the phone until after midnight when he got home. Ah; young love! Tonight the plan is for me to head up after work, so hopefully we won't have any more wacky weather events!

I need to get some actual work done today... ugh... Oh well, that's what they pay me for -- right?!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, woo hoo for accepting the deal on the boathouse. Congratulations!
Oh and I did get a comment tonight about dropping my phone on the floor. I should remind him that "he" is the only one of us who has had to replace an iPad after knocking it on the floor. Ha!
I had my heart set on a winning a prize. Good thing I still have my $5 lottery ticket to cash in. That makes me feel better. I am sure you are delighted to have everyone trained. Can I send some people your way?
How fun to catch up with a neighbor over a bottle of prosecco. I hope the weather cleared up for your trip to TR's house.
Yes, doing some work is what they pay you for; again can I send some people over your way?

I had a great day. Someone called me pretty; to be perfectly honest they said I was pretty annoying but I choose to focus on the positive.
But seriously folks, it was a busy day at work. Drama and babysitting ruled the day but I find amusement in it so that's a good thing.
Marty and I went to Chick Filet for supper. I was stunned he suggested it; a friend of ours posted on FB her daughter's gymnastics club was holding a fund raiser there so we had supper at the mall then wandered around a few stores. Dillard's had this Marquis by Waterford bowl on sale for $39.95 so I bought it for a friend who has a birthday coming up soon. Such a deal. If I remember rightly you like that pattern. Then we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond; I always pick up so much stuff in that store but they take coupons that are even expired so I saved $47. Naturally I picked up another table cloth and a few funny birthday cards. What else I got; I don't remember but I am sure I needed it.

Take care.
Curby

Happy Wednesday kids!

Curby, LOL on the "pretty"! That is a great deal on the bowl! And yes, feel free to send all the people you want my way. When I'm done with them they may never be the same. Not sure if that's good or bad though, ha ha.

Last night I did go to TR's and the weather was a little icy -- drizzle and blowing hard -- but I ultimately made it. We had steak and peas for dinner, and there was laundry... always laundry...

Today I am going to get A LOT done! I've also got Big Bros / Big Sis tonight, and I have a client to take to see four things after that, so fingers crossed she actually likes something enough to make an offer...

Tomorrow I'm going to help TR with an event. It's some sort of dinner thing and I think I've been enlisted to decorate and put out silent auction prizes and stuff like that. That's going to happen pretty early though (I'm getting there at 10 am) and the dinner is obviously much later so this is an all day commitment. Friday I've got an out-of-town client to tour around, Saturday the CB and I are going to clean out the boathouse (the buyers want the furniture, etc., but not the dishes, linens, etc., and I've got clothes and other personal effects there), and Sunday with TR is yet to be determined. It'll be a busy next few days!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, all right - I'll send some people over for training. Thanks!
Glad you made it to TR's okay and it was only a little bit icy. Mm to steak and peas for dinner.
You did have a busy day; what did you do at Big Bros and Big Sis? Did you client like any of those places tonight?
The silent auction dinner should be fun. What kind of things are being auctioned off? What is the cause?
Ugh to cleaning out the boathouse. Your dishes for there were fun; are you going to keep them? That's good they want the furniture.
An unplanned Sunday is always a good thing too.

I didn’t get to my “normal” work until 3:30 today. Last night I got some emails indicating we had at least 2 problems to fix ASAP this morning. A 3rd email showed up about 9 am today that was a total “oh crap” moment and ended up with a write-up for one of my employees. My new guy is kind of driving me crazy already; I forgot (suppressed) how needy and gossipy he is. I’ll pick Marty’s brain of how to politely get him to quit being a “I think you should know” guy because he’s not telling me something I don’t already know. I don’t want to discourage him though.

I met a friend for lunch today and it was gorgeous out; it almost felt like spring.

Take care.
Curby

Yes, I had to pay the Killer Rabbit $20 this morning to get my lunch and for him to leave my bears alone all day.
IMG_1887.JPG

Hi Kids. Happy Friday Eve.

We had another sunny and windy day. I’ll take it over that white stuff.

Have a fabulous day!

What's white with red and blue flashy things on top and sets behind a Porsche? Marty was driving though.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, did you get the boat house cleaned out? If you found any cash or sapphires laying around they might be mine.

Kognisjon, you are doing great. Every time someone mentions kale I think of a lady at work who brought in a bunch of homemade kale chips. They stunk really, really bad. Those of us in the office finally said something to her; she didn't even notice they stunk.

So I just paid Marty's speedy ticket. They added $7.44 for processing fees but hey I at least was able to pay it online. Should I frame the ticket and receipt for Marty to hang in his office? I can't be too nasty about it since it could easily have been me.

My weekend hasn't gone as planned but that's fine I am still ahead of the game on chores. The cleaning lady is coming tomorrow so I am working on laundry today and made some sour cream sugar cookies to take to work this week. Sadly I got up at 6 (slightly earlier than even on a work day) to chat with Marty before his test. He was out of eggs so headed off to Colorado for his NASM test. Right after he walked out I thought "crap" if we are out of eggs I have to go get some to make my cookies. Amazingly the store was very empty at 7:30 in the morning. For going to pick up eggs and what i needed to make tacos for lunch I sure spent a lot of money.

After I got home one of my employees sent me a text saying she was heading in to work to submit her time card which was due yesterday. So I checked my work email only to find about 150 things got kicked out from today's auto file load. I had 60 minutes to get the first one put back in; so an hour and a half later I got that chore done. Marty walked in the door right as I was finishing up.

I got the cookies made; I always forget what a pain it is to roll out cookie dough and cut out cookies so I guess that makes these cookies more special. I used the bear and rabbit cookies cutters though.

Marty did pass his test. Woo hoo Marty! He even has a client on the air base here; if that goes well word of mouth could lead to a lot more clients for him.

Have a fabulous weekend.
Curby

Happy Saturday kids!

Curby, it sucks you had to log in an do all that work, but hopefully they will remember what a rock star you are come bonus time (yes... I know... but hope springs eternal!). How did the cookies turn out? Woo Hoo to Marty on passing his test and on having a client!!!

Hi Kog! The smoothie sounds good! And enjoy your yoga. I've never done it much, but it crosses my mind every now and then I should try.

Yesterday the CB and I went to the boathouse to clean everything out. Wellllll... we were a little optimistic in thinking it would all fit in the Lexus... So today TR and I are supposed to go over and get the res of the stuff. We'll probably have lunch/dinner at a place in one of the surrounding towns.

I did my nails last night (after breaking two of them putting stuff away... argh) and worked on getting one of my houses to absorb all the stuff from my other house, ha ha. Man! I was surprised at home much fit in that tiny boathouse!

Hi Kids,

Dee Jay, it is amazing how much stuff we can collect in a small space and in a small span of time. Good luck finding place for everything when you get it home.
I broke several nails this weekend too and I honestly don't remember how but I need to do my nails today too.
The cookies turned out quite delicious. I haven't made them for years but now I remember why people request them frequently.
I can always hope I get a bonus at work; I'll tell them you said I deserve one.

Our cleaning lady cancelled on us; she was up all night sick so I'm like yes please keep your germs at home then. I made Marty breakfast and didn't make nearly as much of a mess as he does; I wisely didn't point it out to him though. Very minimal bacon splatter. Woo hoo!

My SIL stopped by a while ago with her new pickup. She wanted a Dodge Ram in lime green with all matte black trim. It looks great. The local Dodge dealer wouldn't deal with her at all so she found this one in Idaho and went up to get it and drive it back. She is moving to Dallas in about a week and a half so she'll get to know her new pickup really well after all of that driving.

Marty is leaving for LA shortly. He is grilling some burgers for us right now and I've got veggies cooking in the oven.

The excitement never stops.

Hello,

Seems I keep going MIA, but truth be told, I got really sick and have just finished taking some potent antibiotics. The cold I had most of February was bad enough, but I was at work a couple weeks ago and I started shivering and I knew I had a fever. Being a guy, I of course just went home and crawled in bed believing I'd be better in the morning. I wasn't, but being a guy, I spent the next day in bed. Call a doctor you say. Nah, I'm a guy. It wasn't until the next day it dawned on me, I had a really bad UTI. It's been a year now, since my prostate surgery and I've been infection free for a whole year, I'd actually forgotten the symptoms. So I had to see the urologist and of course by the time I got in, I was in bad shape.

All while having one of the best months at work I've ever had, so I'm killing myself to keep going at work while I'm sick. Did I mention I'm a guy? I'm finally feeling human again, so that's the good news.

I scanned all the posts I've missed. DeeJay, I'm sorry to see the BH go, but I can see why it may not fit your life without CB in the picture. I see you need a new laptop. Go to BestBuy and just buy the HP Spectre 360 with the 4K Ultra Screen, 16GB of RAM and a 512GGB SSD Drive. It's about $1500, but it's simply the best laptop I've ever purchased. I got mine in December and it's fantastic.

Marcy, I'm sorry to see both you and Marty have been sick and that photo of the temp, oh my! We spent most of February with temps on average, 20 dgrees higher than normal. March is the other direction. Weird weather here for sure. Tomorrow morning, they way we may wake up to temps in the 40s.

Charlie has a milestone Birthday at the end of the month (the big 7-0) so I'm taking him for a long weekend to our favorite resort in Sarasota. It's so close, yet feels like we're in the Caribbean, but being Easter weekend, is outrageously priced. We're going to plan a longer trip with my brother and SIL at a later date.

We had homemade Fried Grouper sandwiches, with homemade tartar sauce. I may be a bit biased, but we live in the land of grouper sandwiches and these turned out better than anything I've had at any restaurant, period. Not a pretty picture, but man was this ever good!

Grouper Sandwich.jpg

That's about all the news from my side of the universe.

Rod

Rod, I am so sorry to hear you have been so sick. I am glad you are feeling better again. I did chuckle at "I am a guy" because that really sounds familiar. I can't say I am any better though.

I hope you and Charlie have a fabulous weekend at Sarasota to celebrate his 70th birthday. That is well worth a special outing. Tell him I am very excited for him and wish him an early Happy Birthday. :wavey:

Congratulations to having a great month at work even though you were so sick. That is awesome.

Sorry to hear you are having some chilly temperatures for you. If it's not windy here I take my jacket off in 40 degree weather; it seems warm compared to the subzero temps we had last month.

Your sandwich looks fabulous. Since I don't eat fish I'll imagine it is a chicken sandwich. Either way I am sure it was very tasty.

Have a great week.
Marcy

I figured our taxes on H&R block. Adding Marty's business stuff is definitely unexplored territory; I think I'll go to a local H&R block. My experience in the past with them doesn't reassure me they can do my taxes any better than I can; but I'll feel better having someone else do it. I could see if the CPA who figured up our taxes with my parents estate income and my parent's final taxes. She was quite good. It looks like his business being more expensive to run than he got from his training his buddies means we get a refund.

Thanks Marcy!

Over the last few years, I've not had enough tax withheld from my earnings and have owed big time. It's not easy when you're commission to know how well your year will be. But this year, I increased the deductions enough to get a small refund. It's better than owing the many thousands we owed last year. We have an accountant. I prefer to pay someone to do my taxes and they have to be an enrolled agent so they can represent us if we're ever called into an IRS Audit. I'm sorry that Marty's business loss is putting you on the refund side, but it's better than not getting one and still having a business loss, right?

Happy sunrise, Kids!

Rod, I’d rather get a small refund than anything else so I don’t have to send in paperwork by mail. We were getting about $70 back before I did Marty’s self employed business. I maybe will change my deductions a little bit if he starts getting clients now at the gym. His expenses dropped giving up renting the gym space.

Have a great day.

Happy Monday kids!

Rod, it's nice to see you back! But not nice about the UTI -- you poor thing. Congrats on the great month at work! Your description made me laugh though... when it comes to being sick I'm a guy too, haha. And there is just no way Charlie is going to be celebrating that milestone birthday! I've met him and he ain't nowhere near that!!! :cheeky:

Curby, Yes, get professional help with Marty's biz taxes, at least this first year. By "professional help" I don't really mean H&R Block though... Don't forget, I worked there one season, and *for the most part* they don't know jack sh!t other than how to jam the numbers into the program. Of course you could have someone at H&R in your area who specifically does biz taxes, so in that case you'll be getting a more qualified person... but in general... :eek-2:

Yesterday TR and I got a bit of a later start than we anticipated, but we went over and got everything from the boathouse that was left. Then we went to a place a few towns over and had dinner, which was only mediocre, but it is a cool old distillery that I wanted him to see. This morning after he left I brought everything in from the car, and now it looks like my boathouse exploded inside my main house, LOL. I gave up and just left it all there because there was no way I could get things even moderately under control before I had to go to work myself. It's a little overwhelming and I'm still stunned by how much stuff I had over there! Tonight, and probably also tomorrow night, I'm heading to TR's after work so I am not even going to think about this mess until Wednesday. It'll still be there when I'm ready to deal with it!

HI:

Healing vibes your way Rod. And I love Sarasota--it is gorgeous! Happy trip!

cheers--Sharon

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, your assessment of skills at H&R block match my observations of past interactions. They basically ask us the same questions that you get asked in the do it yourself taxes online. I'll round up a CPA number and call tomorrow. Thanks!
Sorry that your dinner at the distillery was only mediocre. I bet putting away the boat house stuff will be a chore but it will wait until you get to it. I shudder to think what a chore it would be to move.

Sharon, you go to the most awesome places on vacation.

Not much new here. Typical day - work, babysitting and windy. I love getting up in time to see the sunrise and driving home in daylight.

Take care.
