Hello All, I Missed You!

oh, my gosh!

i can't believe how long i have been gone. I MISSED YOU GUYS!

i've been gone for a few months, due to -- moving clear across the country -- having to find a new house and buy 2 cars (as we used to live in NYC!) -- having to study for and take the CA bar (we passed! phew!) -- starting a new job -- and starting the planning for our wedding.

i'm finally just starting to feel settled in our new life here in southern CA. i think i needed these few months just to get my life together--the cross country move is a huge change. (and it's pretty hard to accomplish all of that AND be on pricescope 3 hours a day, per my past habits.

)

anyway, just wanted to say HI

, i missed you all, and i'm so glad to be back! can't wait to hear what i have missed!

Welcome back, and welcome to SoCal!! (I also left NYC for here--SD--in late January. Hope you and your FI have adjusted well--this is my hometown, and I still miss the city terribly.)

ETA - Congrats on the CA Bar, I think only about 50 percent of the people who take it pass. (Just checked - looks like I was high - 35 to 40 percent! wow--i am just overwhelmed by all of the nice sentiments! you guys are wonderful. thank you so much for the warm welcome back.

anyway, FI and I are LOVING sunny san diego. (although come to learn that it''s not so very sunny here in june . . . it''s been foggy for days!) we rented a condo within walking distance to the beach in la jolla shores (for those of you who know SD), which is just great because we can take the dogs there on the weekends and go running there in the AM before work. our place is twice the size of our NYC apartment at significantly less rent, so that''s definitely an improvement! and while i am JUST starting to miss a few isolated things about NYC, FI and i have discussed and we can''t envision ever wanting to move from here. it''s just paradise! we both adore the ocean and palm trees and all things beachy, so i think we chose well. (as some of you may remember, we basically picked SD off of the map when we decided to leave NYC!)

i won''t lie, the CA bar was HELL. FI and i had to quickly find a place to live and buy cars and then we spent 2 months doing literally nothing but studying 18 hours a day. it was horrible (and what sparked my original absence from pscope!). thank god it''s over!

the other major thing that we have been able to accomplish over the past few months is to pick a place and date for our wedding. we are getting married September 3 2006, which right now seems SOOOOO far away.

but i think we will end up needing the time to plan. i''m really excited though, and we''re doing it at a wonderful resort that is my dream wedding location. (it won''t surprise those of you who know me when i say that we researched and visited venues for about 2 months before deciding!) if you want to check it out it''s www.ranchovalencia.com. we''re having it at their hacienda, which is a private house on the resort grounds with it''s own garden and backyard for the ceremony and reception.

i can''t wait!
