SXN, did you get to describe your ring at all? What a downer! Brooke, I am from the Philadelphia area...I googled and found this one night and love it...except it is NOT helping my insomnia or my butt. There are some really nice and helpful people here...just post something and you will see!

I''m pretty new also. I never have introduced myself...how rude. My name Nancy, I live in Dallas, been married for 10 years, I''ll skip the age also. I have always loved jewelry. I''ve been known to buy whole outfits to go with a necklace or earrings. Some people collect shoes, I collect jewelry. I just wish I had more of the sparklers like I see on pricescope

Hi! I''m a newbie here too!

I''m from West Coast of Canada, British Columbia to be exact.Anyone else here from Canada?
Anyways, I am so glad I found this site, now I have a place to brag about my bling! May I also add that I am ADDICTED to this site.
I just love looking at other peoples'' rings. I can''t get enough.

Some of the rings I''ve seen on this site are just GORGEOUS!

I have to admit that I am jealous but I''m a very lucky girl to have a very giving and loving husband of a year (in August) who has given me with some beautiful BLINGS. But not like the ones I see on pricescope.com. I will have to really work on my husband for those BIG blings.

Hi, I''m a newbie too so I hope you don''t mind me gatecrashing this thread.

I''m from the UK, so there aren''t many of my friends who understand my jewellry obsession! My husband is a scientist who rolls his eyes whenever he sees me logged onto this site and can be heard muttering "but they are only different coloured rocks - how can she get so excited about rocks", so I am very happy to have stumbled upon this site with people who understand that there are rocks.....and then there are ROCKS

Welcome! I''m a newbie, too. My husband thinks I''m a nut for joining this forum, but I know deep inside he thinks it''s cool as well. I''ve been married for almost 2 years now with a 1ct RB ready for upgrading. He can''t believe I already want to upgrade, but the shrinkage theory that I have read on these threads is no joke! =)

Until I read about shrinkage on here I thought there was something wrong with my eyesight

Welcome Glitterkitty, hooray another Brit!! Your husband mutters and mumbles too???

Oooh you will find so many kindred spirits here!!! I know, in the UK most people think I am nuts for being diamond obsessed, it is so different in England. Do I take it from your name that you love cats too? You will find the PS addiction takes hold quickly, you will do anything to sneak back to the computer!!

I ignore my husband now when I am on here, it''s only fear motivated that his wallet may get clobbered again!!

Hi Lorelei

my eldest cat has just turned 21

- i know, i can't believe she's still going! She lives with my mum now as my seven year old was really starting to annoy her.

My latest cat is just over 18 months old and she was a rescue cat from the RSPCA. She is so sweet - she follows me around the house all day

and snuggles on my lap when I'm on the computer!

I knew it - another cat lover!!

I have 6 cats ( gulp!) For fun check out in the forums "No dogs allowed" that is our main kitty drooling thread! You will enjoy that! 21 year old kitty? Bless her she is doing well, we recently had a little stray girl turn up and she is making sly and sneaky moves to take over!! She loves to start fights and sit back and watch the fracas she has caused!

The fur flies in our house as four of ours are Persians!

Oh dear...do they have to wear a patch?...

Amanda, welcome to the board.

Regards,

GlitterKitty, I was going to alert you and Lorelei to eachother''s presence! She seems to be an awesome gal and has lots in common with you! If your hubby is going to be clinical about the whole darn thing, you could ask him what he loves about you, after all, you are only atoms and particles and such...a diamond is so much more than the sum of its parts! It is life and mystery too...wars have been fought and people killed over these mere rocks!!! I totally understand his clinical and (mostly) male point of view, but I just say, as long as he pays for the rocks he does not have to understand it!!! (It is not for us to ask why...) Nuff said.

I learned a long time ago...I do not get thrilled over new golf clubs or stereo equipment, yet allow him to buy it at will. So, he does not have to get my obsession, just foot the bill and listen when I tell him look at someone''s jewels. He has gotten really subtle and good at scoping out others rocks....now he asks ME how big I think someone''s ring is! I guess, my point is, that even my husband can be trained, so there is hope for all of you girls who have hubbys who are less than entranced by diamonds and other jewels!!!
