For reference. I don't think the penny is a good representation of Yvonne Raley's 14k RG. I'm now toying with color combinations.
The necklace is 14k gold, but magnetic clasps silver.

Orange spinels for corners and pink-red rubies for sides? I welcome your comments .

My vote is yellow or white gold (rose just looks weird and clashes IMHO) and green stones with it.

Yellow with green wouldn't be a bad look, but at this point my gut is telling me I won't be excited with only green stones. The green melee I can get are mint green, and I think this shade of yellow calls for intense saturated chrome like green, which are not side stones I currently have and probably won't be sourcing anytime soon.

Yes I agree something in a vibrant green was what I pictured..... but on the flip side I'm not sure it's a bright enough yellow to achieve what you are trying to get to with the reds you are using either.

Yayy, I think we have the same taste, that one was also the one I feel most attracted to. We'll see once it's made. I still think I won't start the project until Christmas time, because I've got too many projects underway before then.

I voted for white metal but after seeing these together I also second this! If you could use both the orangey-pink and pink gemstones with yellow gold and your honey gem I think itd look like a ripe fruity bonanza!
