I think that the setting is very interesting, but depending on the stone, it might bring out the beauty of it or kill it as the contrast of two colors of gold is distracting from the center. The second chrysoberyl it was totally overpowering.
Now somehow, contrasting golds manage to brings out the contrasting tones of bi-color sapphire. It is a rare match. The tanzanite looks good too, but normal-good. The sapphire looks mysterious, like a Japanese miniature, and yet modern. The other stones will produce the look of the period when the ring was made. Just my very honest opinion.
