That''s really cool looking. I love Overstock.

I tried sketching it with more of a tapered band, and added yellow bezels. One side is "hammered." I like the yellow bezels, but I definitely like the wavy style better.

I think the hammered look detracts from the clean lines of the step cut.

Also, how do you ensure that the bottom of the bracelet is weighted down enough so that it doesn''t flip around? Is that done through the circle hanging off the chain? I don''t know much about bracelet mechanics, so maybe someone else can answer this better - i.e., would a cuff bracelet be better at not flipping?

I did a google images search and came up with these. for most of these I think a NS orientation of stones would be better:

2 lines of wavy cuff

different wavy interpretation - set the stones in a bypass type setting

3 wavy lines, closer together

2 wavy lines close together

Wow! Thank you so much litebrite! I really liked the shape of the ones with the diamonds. The drawings aren''t to scale and the charms on the back would be quite a bit larger (comparatively), so hopefully that would keep it from turning. I think I really like the idea of the half-bangle, b/c it''s unusual and I definitely want to include the charms.

I came up with a couple other ones, but my colored pencils are wearing down and I don''t have a sharpener, so they''re much smaller...

Me too. And a cuff/bangle style would definately ensure a more stable wear, but that''s not the only way to go (ask some jewellery professional about this).

Okay, to go in a completely different direction (I know, I''m a pain

), I was obsessively searching Etsy (again) and came across this bracelet by thebijoubabe. It''s set with an aquamarine now, but a blue topaz would totally work, with a few other modifications. The vendor is located very close to where I live, so I''m hoping she''ll be willing to meet with me in person and discuss ideas for the project. What do you think of it?

Would you set them as charms? One of your original design ideas I really like is the topaz and peridot snuggling against each other since they represent your fiend and her husband.

I tried to make something out of a bypass bracelet idea - the diamonds necklacve was suppose to link to a bypass bracelet.

I agree, and I think I would have the topaz and peridot set next to each other, but since I had already wanted a couple of charms on the bracelet, I thought this was a good design. I also like the bali-like design of the bracelet.

I like your drawing. That''s a very interesting concept!
