Help with engagement ring diamond

If i had to choose between the 2 the second one would be my choice. The angles are more complimentary with each other and the facet imaging looks alot better.

Do you have pics or videos of either stone? My problem w stone 2 is that it says "clarity based on clouds not shown " which can affect performance, even in a VS2.

Agree that the proportions of the stone 2 looks fine but concerned about the "clarity based on clouds not shown ". This is a red flag for potential transparency issues and the video of the stone doesn't look quite crisp to my eyes.

The stone has faint fluorescence which is not a problem generally but when combined with clouds (or for that matter any inclusions that can cause haziness like internal graining, excessive twinning wisps), may exacerbate any transparency issues.

If you do get to see stone 2 in person, make sure you check it under various lighting environments if possible (less bright areas in the store, near window and sunlight etc.). Jewelry store lighting is designed to make all stones look good, so make sure to check so you get a realistic view of how it will look like in everyday life.

Might also be worthwhile comparing stone 2 side-by-side with another is definitely free of transparency concerns (no clouds, internal graining) to see if there is any difference in transparency.

Yes I'm concerned about the comment on stone 2. I would have to order that stone with the ring and wait to see it in person after it's made in 4-6 weeks. I don't think it's worth the risk. 77diamonds have said that they have these other 2 stones that they can show me though before the ring is made:

1. GIA Report

Video of the stone

Table 58, Crown 34, Pavilion 40.6

2. GIA Report

Video of the stone

Table 58, Crown 36, Pavilion 40.6

Both seem to have good proportions and on StoneAlgo come out as very high cut ratings 1 is 9.2, 2 is 8.8

I think this might be it for now and will either go with one of these or potentially risk the stone with the comment above "clarity based on clouds not shown"

Any help / HCA Reports very much appreciated!

Personally I wouldn't choose either of these new two stones.

Stone 1 has a black inclusion in the middle of the table which may not be eye clean. There is a chance of transparency issue because of comments including clouds and internal graining which is not a good combo with fluorescence. Proportions are better than stone two though.

Stone 2 has a steep crown angle and is cut deep (looks small for its carat weight). Steep crown with large 58 table and 55 stars is not a good match and GIA's rounding of figures could make it even worse.

If they can only offer very limited options you can see in person, you might as well buy online IMHO. It sounds like they are accessing virtual inventory and calling stones in like what online vendors like Blue Nile and James Allen do anyway. This I believe may be the reason they want you to order that other stone first before you can see it.

I did a search on 77diamonds as well but also didn't see good options that match your budget and criteria. Only found a 0.9ct F VS2 that might be worth considering but I prefer those that @Kim N previously suggested.
