From what I understand, this is the area that will be get the milgrain. That's why I'm worried about the open space around the melee. I feel like it will look odd. I think, from the 3d pic, it will be curved a bit in (scalloped?).

I love the 1st round of CADs best and hope DK can explain the purpose of that added metal/space. It looks miniscule relative to the size of the melees / overall ring though, so it might not look so stark IRL.

Same as Acinom, I can't read cads. Although one thing is do you like how the shank attaches to the head? I love bright colours and your ring is going to be gorgeous.
