Help with Yahoo avatar

OK after the flood of you ladies who have recently changed your profile image to ayahoo avayar I am dying to do it as well. So I went and tried like someone had mentioned in another thread. But I can''t copy the picture of my avatar after I make it. When I right click on it my only options are "about macromedia flash player". Can any of you help me out here? Thanks so much!

I think it''s just easiest if you print the screen.

Do you have a PC or a Mac?

For a PC, there''s a PrtScrn button or something on your keyboard and it will take a photo of your screen and you can save it on your computer and crop it down to just the pic of your avatar.

If you have a Mac, there should be an application in your Application folder called Grab. Start it up and then select the area on y our screen that you want to save.

Does that help?

I just right clicked on the picture and saved it to my desktop, then opened in MS Paint, but mine is a little grainy so I think I''m going to try the print screen feature.

I have a Mac at home and wasn''t able to grab it like I do with almost everything else. that annoyed me. I''ve made a new one for spring so mine may change shortly.

YAY! I did it! Thanks for the help, guys. I had always wondered how I could "print screen" from a flash website. I had no idea that button was there!

Of course, I''ve had my old avatar since the beginning almost, so this will take some getting used to.

once you press the print screen button, go to MS word or paint, and press Paste. It should paste your picture in there and then you can crop it and save it as needed.

The print screen button used to, a long time ago, send a copy of your screen directly to the printer. I work in IT so I miss those days... it was a great way to get a shot of error messages. Now I have to paste and email... it''s annoying. But it makes it easier to capture images.

hmmmm not sure mimikins but go to http//:avatar.yahoo.com and check it out, its pretty easy to make a stupid profile with absolutely nothing too with your reg. email so you can make an avatar though. And in case the print screen thing doesn''t work for you (I was still having difficulties) there is a download option (I think the link from the avatar screen says export) that you can use too which is what I ended up doing. Good luck!

kind of a rant about the yahoo avatars...i have issues with a bunch of the hairstyles and mouth options for the yahoo avatars...so many of them are just hideous!! there are a few hairstyles i like, two eye options and one mouth option oh and two hat options (which add their own hair), and that is IT. and sometimes the clothes options they put out are seriously scary. it really makes me wonder, who is their research team?!?!?!

I totally agree. Mine looks vaguely like me, but when I tried to put her in a spring outfit, so many of them were just, well, trashy. I finally found a plain purple top but I''m not that pleased with it so she hasn''t made her PS debut yet. And the hair... I actually do have that hair cut so I got lucky, but none of the hats come with that hair in that color. And my lips DON''T look like that.. Also, I think the heads are much bigger than the bodies! It''s a weird proportion.

but in cartoon world, I''m hot!

I showed it to my boyfriend and he said "You could have used that on your online dating profile... too late now!"

Yours kind of looks like Jaenene Garofalo. Ok, I''m sure I spelled that wrong, but she''s got that same expression as the actress.

haha sum and what is up with the weird arm placements that some of the shirts have...aka the arm posture changes when you put a new top on sometimes? it''s like I DONT WANT MY ARM LIKE THAT but i want to wear that top!!! so irritating. hehee.

i have a few fave spring looks that i feel don''t look too bad, but literally they add about 20 new things before i find one more thing i like.

i definitely would love to be as small and petite as the avatar is!!! hehee. but mine looks pretty close to me in general. except for the big diamond earrings!

I was going through today, and I agree Mara, there just aren''t very many options that I like. Backgrounds, too. I wish there was a way to make suggestions.

Plus, why do the hats have to come WITH hair? I like some of them, but the hairstyle is all wrong.
