You are one of those rare lucky people who looks as good in a candid as in a posed photo. Great smile! And you are definitely glowing.

Hee hee...thanks. I'm starting to feel a little like a weeble, so any compliments (big or small) are really appreciated.

This is our third child, and I've never had a belly shot before, so I took one myself tonight!

I love baby pictures, but gotta hate you ladies that looks so great after 2 and obviously will after 3 as well. PLEASE - tell me you're an aerobics instructor, or that you work out 10 hours a week - lie to me. You're a lucky lady all around (no pun intended).

Wow that is a pretty pointy bump!! The rest of you is so small.

My girlfriend is about 7 months pregnant and so tiny, it's ridiculous. She just looks like she ate too much food at dinner.

I am sure I will be a beached whale if we decide to have kids...I love my dessert too much and without the 5 times a week exercise to keep me in shape....ooh scary thought.

Oh, THANK YOU!!!!! You have no idea how nice it is to hear those compliments!

Believe me, I am by no means petite. I'm 5'9" tall, and wore a size 14 prepregnancy. I'm really trying to watch what I eat this time. I gained 41 pounds with the first (lost it all by the time he was 6 months old), but 72 with the second one (took almost a year to lose; bedrest from 20 weeks on). And no, I don't exercise. Just getting round this house and doing daily chores is exercise enough! I lost 25 pounds in the first 2 1/2 months of living here. We went from an 1100 sq. foot condo to a 4,000 square foot house (with two sets of stairs since the house is 75 feet long) in the country. My hormones dropped over the past year, and I put on about 18 of the 25 that I lost. So when this baby is born, I'm going to have to work my tail off to lose the baby weight, and then another 20 pounds on top of that.

So far I've only gained 5 pounds (3 in the first trimester), but I have almost 23 weeks to go. I'm still getting morning sickness, so I think that helps!

My sister has three kids and my sister-n-law has one and they are working on number two. I am not saying this for brownie points; I am saying this as a point of fact.

When it comes to child birth, men are wimps (okay, generalization here, maybe I am the wimp). There is no way I would have kids if it meant I actually had to have them. So Mazel Tov to you and all the others. I stub my toe and I want to call in sick to work.

Let alone child birth.

I will say though, that I don't gain weight, no matter what I eat, so I also cannot relate to that issue. And yes, my sister, my fiance and most people around me hate me for this. But, someone has to do it right, so why not me?

A size 14 at 5'9 can look pretty good.

I had my baby at 40 (after 18 years of infertility) and the fertility drugs really messed with me. I went from a size 6 and 135 to 205 and developed several health problems that contributed to the problem. So 7 years later after much medical intervention I still have 40 pounds to lose (30 down) but you know what - my daughter is worth every ounce, even if I can't ever get it all off. I loved being pregnant, and love my daughter even more. Congratulations!

Funny, Kayla17, I've read your posts here and on DT, under Elizabeth17 and was sure you had blonde hair! lol (not that you sounded like you had blonde hair, so don't take this negatively
1.gif
, it's just how I pictured you.

Mara, I pictured you with dark hair, so I was right there, but for some reason I thought you had a straight haired bob! lol

Michelle

Wow a bob? How preppy!!
1.gif
Hee....well my hair is normally shorter but I am growing it for the wedding and its driving me INSANE. Everyone tells me how much they like it, but all I can think about is cutting it. It's very thick and heavy so it makes me feel like I am 12 when it's down...no matter how many layers my stylist puts in. Ahhhh come end of May...it's back to being short..and no it won't be quite a bob..but normally it's barely shoulder length.

Mara, you have beautiful hair.
1.gif
I would love to have thick, heavy, dark hair. Instead I am cursed with baby fine, straight, fair hair. At least yours can hold a curl, right?

And now that I'm really steamed...

...you know what I find hilarious? The mania for straight hair. I have girlfriends who straighten with the Chi flat iron, I have girlfriends who've had Japanese thermal reconditioning...I have girlfriends that spend forty minutes wrestling with the blowdryer and a paddle brush every day. They have varying lengths/degrees of wavy or curly hair, like you. I guess the grass is always greener....

Mara -

lol - well, I agree with "everyone."
1.gif
Your hair looks really good! You look so beautiful and happy! Congratulations! Can't wait to hear about your wedding. . .

Regarding the thick hair part. Mine is thick too and i have to say it's a HUGE pain in the butt. Does yours take forever to blow dry? I usually give up after getting half way through drying and styling it. . .plus, I find the longer I take to get ready, the more likely my kids (ages one and three) are breaking something important in the next room!

Hi Michelle,
That's funny that you thought I had blonde hair, I think once when I was in HS I went that route
2.gif

Don't worry, I won't take it negatively.
So, when are you going to post a picture of your self, or at least an autobiography in the Who's Who section?
1.gif

Kayla17 -

hahaha I think WE ALL tried that blonde route at least once in our teenage years! Or was it that orange route???? lol My hair never wanted to turn nice honey blonde.

Okay, I'll post a quick auto bio over in the who's who. . .

Michelle

Mara,

You look beautiful!!!!! My goodness, you do!!

Thanks Barbug....

Not as beautiful as your sparkly diamond!

Wow it's been a long time...I love visiting this site, the people here are all soo helpful and encouraging. Mara you are the queen of this forum, you're always willing to help out everyone and always have such nice compliments. Well here is one back to ya!

You and your husband look absolutely stunning together!!!

Hi Swan!! Been a while...how is your beautiful diamond? A big one if I recall correctly!
1.gif
Thanks for the compliment....we do look mighty peachy eh?!
rodent.gif
Where's your pic?!

The beautfiul ring is doing fine, Thanks!...Not a whole lot of time passes by before I hear my fiance saying...god I love this ring, it's soo beautiful and then she laying a big kiss on me
1.gif
. It's soo worth it, no wonder why men have always liked getting their gf's or wives nice things; you get it all back in kisses and attention

.

We are doing great, her wedding ring is just about done and our weeding is not until April or May and will be quite small and intimate.

Here is a picture of us in Paris for Valentines and her birthday (Kill 2 birds approach)

She hates this pic. too bad because this is the only decent one I have of myself.

Cute picture!! Your fiance looks like someone I used to know in high school...
2.gif

Thanks,
She went to Schurr HS in montebello. Does that ring a bell?

No it's not her..she just looks similar
2.gif
Very pretty!

. We first met at work, I remember the first day I saw her in the parking lot...I kept it cool as I walked past her but inside I was doing the whole "Lenny and Squiggy" biting the hand routine
1.gif
. After 5 years of indifference, friendship, and soon to be husband and wife I consider myself very blessed to have found her.

Why doesn't your fiancee like that picture? She looks like a beauty-cutie in it!

I can't believe after posting about the original posted picture that I never returned to this thread. I have been wondering about "Mara's engagement party photo" I even did a search and couldn't find it. Everyone looks great! And the pics of couples really look like well matched couples. I'm oing to try to find or create a link to a picture of Carlos and me from earlier this year. Maybe I'll post it as a profile.

Good idea Lanee!
1.gif

I'm not sure why she doesn't like that picture...She looks so full of life in it...My fiance never likes the pictures I think she looks good in....weird.

Alright, I did find a picture of us that I posted on DT, I don't where it is now [among my computer files] but I did make a bio in the Who's Who section and I pasted the address of the picture since I can't figure out how to make a hyperlink here. Just wanted to let you know I did it.

here lanee

substitute the brakcets [ ] for <> signs. Hope that helps.

I took the liberty to post it for you here. You 2 look very nice together [img]http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/images/smilies/1.gif

That was lovely of you. Thanks. I'm not cross-eyed. I'm not sure why I look cross-eyed in this picture, is anyone familiar with why being postured or positioned this way gives that effect?

I didn't even notice it...and I can barely notice it now, even though you told me. But yeah it's probably just the angle of your face to the camera...

I think you look great! I'm sure my fiance wouldn't appreciate me conversing with soo many attractive women on this forum.
