I got beautiful roses from hubby and some yummy chocolates. The roses are a lovely shade of pink, my favorite color.

Basically, he talked last week about how it''s just a hassle to go out to dinner in NYC on Valentine''s Day, etc, and he goes "What do you want?", meaning gift wise. I know V-Day is a Hallmark holiday but I still think someone should do something for their sweetheart, even if it''s just something small and thoughtful. Anyway, now I think he feels guilty b/c I told him yesterday how lame I thought it was that he made such a stink about not doing anything, when something small would have been nice. He just called me at work and was like "Come home so I can take you out.".

Geez, don''t do me any favors.

I got Shari''s Berries, but he told me that he got them for me a couple days ago. It''s because we were watching Food Network Top 5 Chocolate Countdown and Shari''s Berries was one of the 5, so I said you can bring home a chocolate-covered strawberry for me on V-day and he said well you are getting a dozen. He thought Food Network ruined the surprise for him. He is so funny.

I told my husband just to give me the cash he would have spent flowers instead. I really don''t get excited about receiving flowers. I don''t know why? Plus he doesn''t believe me that the secretary at my school reads the cards. Last time he sent me flowers, he wrote ''who''s your daddy'' on the card and it took me a long time to live that one down.

I got a HUGE box of chocolates, a lemon candle with a lemon candle holder, a glass rose in a pretty box, and since I''m a Cinderella fan (Disney cartoon, not 80''s rock band)...love it, know all the words; my FI got me a Cinderella glass slipper and a Cinderella Carriage that is so cute! I thought all my gifts were soooooooooo sweet and I just love them.
