This other girl on my diamond site got engaged this weekend! We both thought we would in the next few days oh my gosh isn't it great YAY!!!" And he was like :lol:

OK...so for the proposal story:

On Saturday we went to a huge car show that SO's car was in. There were thousands of people there so we ended up parking in an enormous parking lot. As the day came to an end we were some of the last people to leave. We went back to the parking lot which was now completely deserted except for our two cars. I told SO I'd follow him to the next place we were traveling to, and I started to walk towards him car. He told me to wait and I turned around and saw that he was holding the ring box so I automatically knew what was happening. I came close to him and noticed he had a huge smile and his face and that he was giggling. I asked what was so funny and I myself, started giggling too. He told me how nervous he was, that he wasn't good at these kinds of things, and that he forgot everything that he had been practicing to say to me. I told him that it was ok, and not to be nervous because it was just me and him and nobody else. I told him no matter what he said, I would be happy. So he started to tell me that I am his best friend, how he loves being a team with me, that he really can't wait to spend his life with me. He told me that he knew we would have a great life together and he was really looking forward to that. I'm pretty sure I saw him tearing up a little bit :). He then told me that he wanted me to have the ring as a symbol of his love for me. He gave me a kiss, and slipped on the ring on as the sun was setting behind us (I have an obsession with sunsets)!

While it wasn't recorded, and I know it was not the way he planned to propose...it was still perfect and I'm completely happy :)

Later on that night he told me how it wasn't how he wanted to propose and how cheesy I probably thought it was. I told him everything was perfectly fine the way it was and that I was happy :P

Autumn, I personally think that is such a sweet proposal, your FIANCE (woo-hoo) spoke sincerely, and from his heart, and that's all that matters!!! He was clearly nervous, which I think is so adorable. I am so happy and excited for you, I know you've been waiting for quite a while, and now it's happened! Your ring is drop-dead gorgeous and looks beautiful on you. Hopefully you'll start a thread in SMTB when you get a chance! Congrats!!!

Of course I don't mind!!!!!!!!! It's so nice to have people genuinely feel happy for me. It really is. So I GREATLY appreciate all the kind comments you guys have made, it makes me blush ::)

I told him that as he starts to remember the things he wanted to tell me throughout the night, he can just tell me :)

Is it weird that I accidentally keep calling him my boyfriend? hahaha! When he calls me and I answer, he says "Hi Fiance" because he knows how weird I think it sounds still hahahaha.
 
Also, I'll definitely take some pictures with my real camera once I get back to Jersey over the weekend so I can show you guys the detail of the ring. I'll post those on SMTB ::)

Thank you!!! I have a 5 megapixel cam on my phone...so most of the time I can get some decent pictures!

My ring size is 6.25...center stone is 2.50, F, SI1, triple EX, set in platinum ( :love: ) Diamonds around the band are G, VS1. I think the total carat weight is close to 3.5
