Sparkles, I''ve been worried about her, too. Seems like it''s been weeks since she''s been around. Last I heard, she was happy to have the guy coming out to fix her a/c the next day. And she and her boy had just gotten through a rough patch. Come back to us, Mandarine!!

I hear what you''re saying about it being like, "is this real?" Anchor. I''m sure I''ll be like that for days after I''m actually engaged. And although I''m like 99% sure he got that diamond, I''m still not believing it, either. But if he did, I''m already fully loving it!!

Well, Anchor. I THINK I''m sure because well, he''s just making a big deal out of NOT making a big deal out of it. He asked me yesterday why I''m not sad about it, because last time my favorite sold, I was a little teary over it. I told im I''m thinking it''s because he got it, because he never said he didn''t, and in the past, he always has. He just looked at me, bewildered like. Then he said, well, you never know. But I think I know, and I think since he knows how much I like it, he''d tell me that it wasn''t him. It''s just different this time. I could be wrong, but I think he bought it.

It''s a J, ideal cut, .541, SI1, and I think it gets a 1.4 on the HCA, but I still don''t quite get what that means, really. It''s beautiful. I got a voicemail from Whiteflash saying it''s brilliant and sparkly and definitely eye-clean. And I think it''s mine! But since I''m not sure, I don''t want to get too happy, but I really think it is.

I did ask Paul if I should search out for another one to put on the top of my choices, and he said if I wanted to, I could. That''s also not like him. So, I went to Whiteflash and I chose a 5.12 stone that''s something like 87,000 dollars, just to be a brat since he''s not telling me anything definitively.

I''m *so* excited! Tonight, before I left his house, he told me not to worry about anything, he''s taking care of all of it. He said that finally, he''s *really* on it. I looked at him and started to ask all sorts of things, and he said just to let it be that he''s on it. For real. And things are good. I said that they SURE were and hugged him for such a long time! I''m excited!!

I think if he did get this one, he did a great job. Pricescope taught him all his stuff, and he seemed pretty pleased with this stone. I know the cost was a huge factor, but I also know he paid attention to some of the numbers and things that I don''t even fully understand.

Although I don''t know he did it, I *feel* that he did. And I really think that if he didn''t, he''d have told me so I wouldn''t be let down later on.

Now I''m wondering which ring he''ll go with. I know he did tell me that if he were to ever buy a stone before the setting, he''d leave it at Whiteflash til it was all done, but I sort of wish I could be like Sunkist and take pictures of it loose on my finger. Nutty, maybe, but sounds like loads of fun!!
 
WOO HOO FISH! THat is so so so so SO exciting! And did I mention that stone looks gorgeous?!

Two sad pieces of news. !. I messaged the admin about my Mandarine thread asking to have them email her to let her know her PS friends were worried about her. THey did but also deleted my thread stating that some girls disappear because of relationship problems and that this was not PS ettiquette. This saddened and concerned me more but I am hoping its just nothing. Since I have seen many threads like this before. Oh well.

Second. My car window was smashed sometime today

Fortunately it is one of the really small little "accent" windows in the backl and nothing major. But still! THere is a high school down the street and I think it was probably one of them. Fortunately nothing was taken and I have a really expensive stereo system. SO that was a reilef. But what I am really worried about is reporting it to my insurance. Will my premium go up because of this? Does anyone know? Sorry fish this just didn''t seem like something worth a whole new thread. I hope you don''t mind.
 
No, I''m glad you posted. Back before I was posting here, my car was broken into. They used a crowbar and basically peeled back my driver''s door. My insurance took care of it, and it didn''t increase my insurance because I have coverage to cover it. Dang, I can''t remember the *technical* term for it. Let me think and post when it comes to me. But I''d report it, and ask if it will increase your premium. They''ll let you know, and then you can decide if it''s worth them paying to fix or not.
 
Thanks fish! I thought it was you that had the broken into car but couldn''t quite remember. SHeesh that seem slike ages ago doesn''t it! Thats good to know. I called the police but they said its after hours for reporting over the phone and that they could send a squad out but normal protocal was a simple phone report since they didn''t take anything. I complied since it seems like a waste of their time to come look at a broken window you know. I''ll call the insurance company tomorrow too. Actually I should go check out the website I bet I could report it there etc. This just sucks plain and simple! Especially since I know what a pain the glass repair guys can be with my mom''s experience. OY!

I am doing well I think! Graduated and got everything finished. Start intership in 2 weeks and have my orientation Wed. actually

But I am really really excited! Been missing my K mega lately because I should really be out there but that trip got cancelled as you all know. Have a bachlorette party coming up this Sat for a good friend of mine and then the wedding is June 10th and I am praying that the outfit I want to wear still fits! Yikes! I have gained 10 pounds this year and am pretty mad about it! I realized yesterday that I have gained 10 pounds each year that I have been in school. And I have had 3 consecutive weeks of fat days and I am fed up. COMPLETELY and utterly tired of feeling like a blob! So my mom and I are going to check out Curves this weeks since she has also put on about 15 pounds eating out with her BF the last 8 mos or so. It should be exciting. I am also thinking of doing laps at my college pool but I hate smelling like chlorine and what it does to my hair so we will see. As noted above, my car window got broken too. Poop heads!

No ring for me. My boy? Well, that I don''t know. I do *think* he got a diamond on Friday, but he''s not being too definitive about telling me either way. The mere fact that he''s playing with me about it makes me think he did get it. I don''t know if he''s ordered a home for the diamond yet, but I don''t think so, based on his disappointment that the price of gold has recently sky-rocketed. Girl, if I had a ring, I''d be posting a ridiculous amount of pictures of it! But, not yet.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! OK so I called the police and made a report. Nothing there because there are no suspects and nothing was taken, just your run of the mill vadalism. My insurance doesn''t cover it because I have a deductable higher than the repair should actually be. But I am going to go check myself with my policy just incase. Ugh I am about to cry I hate when things like this happen! Hope you are all having a better start to your week!

$362 is what the insurance estimate was. But I cannot comprehend it costing that much. It is one of the little triangle windows behind the rear passenger window. We will see thought. Tomorrow I get to call around to auto glass stores. Well I did bawl my eyes out. Changed my policy to have full glass coverage which apparently in the fine print I didn''t have. Which I thought was mandatory in my state so I am a little peeved. I just finished vacuuming the sidewalk, street, and my car. Do you know how ridiculous it feels when people drive by watching you vavuum the street?! Of course I managed to get cut while doing it too. Ugh. This has been a month full of ups and downs! I hate feeling like money controls my life but seriously, things would be so much simpler. K and I had a tearful talk last night. Mostly because of me. I am a complete mess stil because of our cancelled trip which is due to what else but money. He cheered me up by talking about our future but again it boils down to money to have him move out here. Ok I am rambling. It has finally cooled off a bit so I was going to try and clean some more tonight but I don''t think I am up to it. I may just watch a movie and try to get back to cleaning on Thursday. How did that all go at Paul''s? How do you focus on the positive when everything keeps blowing up in your face? Seriously.
 
Aww, Sparkles, I hope your night gets better. I think we *all* teeter at times when things seem like more than we can handle. The thing is, though, as cliched as it may be, that things typically work out in the long run. And if they don''t, we''re usually more pleased by the twists along the way than we would have been to just make a straight shot of it. At least that''s what I tell myself.

I know what you mean about money controlling a lot of aspects of our lives these days. It''s hard not to let it. While money is something we need, and rely on, it''s not something that has to effect our moods and the way we appreciate life. Unfortunately, I''ve not been one to really *live* that here lately, since I''ve been VERY focused on money and the need for us to have more of it in order for Paul to ask me to be his wife. I think even in the course of things taking swoops and turns with issues surrounding his computer and car, I *try* to focus on us and who we are, and what we want, and what we *will* have: a marriage and a life shared together. It''s hard not to fret and fuss over the things that don''t go our way, though. My mom STILL reminds me when I whine that what doesn''t kill me makes me stronger. The same is true for relationships, too.

As for your situation with not being able to see your boyfriend at this exact point in time: I have been impressed by your reactions to it, as stated on here. If it were me, I fear that I''d be much more mopey and whiny about it. And I''d no doubt bring it up more, too. I''m still hoping things work out so you can see one another soon, though.

As for cars and insurance: little print is their mastermind! I mean, who knows what any of the stuff *really* means, anyway? We have to have it to drive legally, and they know it. So, whether or not it makes sense isn''t really a priority. However, my insurance was really nice and kind to me in explaining things when I had my break in.

Paul''s house is cleaner than MINE! I was *so* impressed with his work and willingness to organize things. He needed help finding ways to organize, and we worked that out. He called earlier and said he loved coming into his house and smelling clean smells, too. What a cutie!!

Well K was a sweetie tonight and called 2 hours early because he was so worried about me. I had emailed him to warn him that major female hormones and serious crying had been going on and to be aware when he called. Its been a stressful couple of days blablabla. Sometimes he is so sweet. Then after I got off the phone I noticed he had called a couple of times. Now that really cheered me up.

Have a good night and pray the estimate was way over and I will find a decent deal for the car repair. Oh and that my orientation/meeting with my internship supervisor goes well! I had better get to bed. Gnight girls

I''m sorry. That last post wasn''t clear. I''d written a longer entry, but then an error occured, so I just got to the point of it, rather than writing it all over again. My mistake.

I was asking about the cherries in relation to a diamond. I noticed that Whiteflash puts cherries at the bottom of some of their pictures of diamonds. Why? I don''t see the correlation.

Today was Paul''s last day of school. He''s *so* glad to be out of that school system. I''m happy for him. Maybe he''ll end up doing some tutoring this summer. That pays bank for certified teachers! He''d still get to have his own schedule, too, so it''d still feel like his summer was his to spend like he wants.

When does your internship start, Sparkles?

I''m HOT!! Flip and I are putting off our walk until it cools off a bit. Aye... it''s SO humid today!!
 
I always assumed it referred to cherry picked. i.e. the cream of the crop.
