Hi PearlGem,

Could it be that there is no PM function because mine is an extremely old account (and considered dead?)? I used to hang out at the Gemstone forum.. I've just recently gotten into pearls... because pearls-a-plenty where I am right now (Indonesia - the land of SSP).

Hmmm... Tucson is very far but a possibility. HK is more feasible... But on a more positive note, I can save up until then! Haha.. :naughty:

Hi! Katbadness. Thank you for your reply. It's so weird there's no PM feature.

Did you mean you'll be going to the Indonesia Pearls Festival 2013 from Oct 2 to 6? Please post photos!

Here are some shots for you. They are still unstrung - need to sort that out in the next few weeks!

THey look lovely!

Re: Hinata/Andy Muller baroque Tahitian strand from Hong Kon

How will you be stringing them? Have been thinking for days and still undecided on how to string my new strand. Right now invisible clasp is highest on preference I think, cos I don't have one necklace with an invisible clasp yet and mostly cos I dunno what clasps will look good with "harvest strand" types.

Re: Hinata/Andy Muller baroque Tahitian strand from Hong Kon

I am finally getting my pearls strung! I am opting for an invisible clasp and will drop them off tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to pick them up early next week!

Yay! Great choice for the clasp. Please post pics when you get it back :geek:

So we had a few dramas with the clasp, but they are finally strung! My K has already put them away but as soon as I get them on Christmas I will take photos. I am thrilled with the invisible clasp arrangement - it makes the necklace so flexible!

Re: Hinata/Andy Muller baroque Tahitian strand from Hong Kon

Ohh, how can you wait?!!! I'm looking forward to your pictures!

Re: Hinata/Andy Muller baroque Tahitian strand from Hong Kon

I can wait because that's pretty much all I am getting for Christmas and I want something to open on Christmas morning (even if I did buy them myself, and had them strung, and tracked down the clasp...).

;)

I am so excited to see your finished strand! It will make it that much more fun on Christmas morning to finally get to wear your strand!

My SoC pearls are all wrapped up and waiting to be stuffed in my stocking. When they arrived I took a quick peek to make sure they weren't damaged in shipping and then handed them over to my DD to be wrapped. She of course took a good long look and oohed and awed over them.

Looking forward to lots of photos of your gorgeous Tahitians!
