IndyGal, I say let your mama do whatever she feels like and don''t protest toooo much....let her enjoy giving you something she knows will make you ecstatically happy! The 1.5 mark sounds like a reasonable compromise to me, and as for your FI feeling weird about it, these are two totally different bling gifts with completely different meanings behind them. You deserve them ALL!

I was just talking to my mom on the phone and she let slip that she was looking for a pair of 2 ctw studs for me as a wedding present, but was finding them quite pricey (uh, yeah!). I said ''HOLY CRA@P MOM!!'' I told her .7 tcw would be plenty and that anyway, I couldn''t possibly feel more spoiled already because of all her hard work on WP1, and she''s all ''Oh but that''s too small. No fun.''

I don''t know what to think! I''m excited, but also...somehow wracked by guilt.

Giggle - the first thing that came to my mind was....

That is an awesome gift, and feel blessed that your momma wants to spoil her little girl - I understand the guilt thing...but remember - don''t take her joy away if she is determined to do this.

Somebody just wrote exactly what I was thinking...does she know about WF? I''d far rather have a 1 ctw pair from WF than a 2 ctw. pair of low quality ones.

Totally understand the guilt though - if it truly makes you uncomfortable, then tell her. Get the smaller ones, or show her what you truly want. Better yet, help her pick out a few pieces and then let her select - its your way of putting a price top on? Not sure how you''d feel about that.
