Oh this is so exciting!!!!!!!!!! I am SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY for you!!!!!!!!!! I feel like running around the room! (Im dead serious!!!) I know how hard it is to wait and wait and you finally got your ring AND your soon to be husband!!!!!!! It is inspiring to me and gives me plenty of hope for my future.

Hello lovely ladies!
Thankyou thankyou thankyou for your kinds words and congratulations! It''s been an awesome overwhelming weekend. I still can''t believe it''s happened. DF (!!!) is staying stuff like, my new fiance and finace this etc, and it''s just fantastic to hear!
I can''t do a photo shoot yet, as my parents are here for the weekend, and I only get to see them two or three times a year, so I need to devote my time to celebrating with them at the moment. Mum and Dad are so excited, Mum is calling the relatives, and every time she tells the story, she starts to cry again, it''s so beautiful.
I guess you are waiting for the story so here goes:
Yesterday was my 30th birthday party for friends and a few family, but I was kinda down on the whole thing as my parents, who are just my great friends couldn''t make the flight down for the weekend as they both got new jobs and they couldn''t get the leave. I totally understood, but I felt so bad for them that they would miss out on such a significant birthday - they did create me after all! Little did I know that my sister had 6 weeks ago bought plane tickets for them to suprise me as a bday present, and they told me they couldn''t get the leave from work to throw me off.
So, yesterday DF (!!!) and I were running around the house getting ready for the party, and I just wanted to paint my nails, and he kept hassling me to get all the house clean before my sister arrived at lunchtime. I couldn''t understand this cause my sis usually helps with the cleaning before the party. Anyway, I decided I needed a little nanna nap before my sis arrived, and DF had already called her to see what time she was arriving (she had told me my present was big so I had to wait inside the house with my eyes closed).
Anyway, DF was running around the house sweeping the floor and he came in to tuck me into bed as he always does. He grabbed me in this big cuddle in our bedroom (which just happens to be my favorite place in the whole world, and he knows it). He started saying all these lovely things about how wonderful I was etc etc, and I could feel his heart beating so strong in his chest, which is unlike him. And I am here thinking, wow, he must have really got stuck into those floors as his heart is crashing in his chest. I asked him if he was happy and he said yes. He said to me, you know what would be better though..... and then he is down on one knee, has the ring out and is asking me that magic question!!!!! I couldn''t believe it, I started crying and he was all teary and I actually remembered to say yes!! He put the ring on my finger (YAY!!) and then we just cuddled for ages and ages and kissed and just held on to each other. I just didn''t want the moment to end and i didn''t want to let him go.
So then I am like - we have to ring my parents, and he is all, yeah in a minute, Lanie will be here soon and we still havn''t finished cleaning up! And I was like, OMG!! I have to tell the girls on PS. So he says yes, you have to go into the study now and tell the LIWs - I am thinking what a great guy, he knows I want to share this with the world and he is letting me Pricescope. So I am messing around PSing and his is running around (at this point I havn''t even stopped to think this was strange) and then my sister walks in the room and says - Man! Your pressie was so noisy in the car - and I am thinking, please don''t have bought me another pet! We already have two dogs! So I walk into the front lounge room and there are my parents sitting on the couch with ribbons and wrapping on them, all dressed up like presents. So I start to cry and they all start to cry and everyone is crying, and I don''t even know if they know we just got engaged. So, it very soon becomes apparent they don''t know, so I am trying to stuff my left hand into my pocket and Mum is asking why I am acting so strange, and I am saying that I am just happy to see them. But really, DF is trying to get my Dad alone to ask him the other big question. So, Lanie and Mum go outside to get the luggage and DF has the little chat to my Dad, and Dad starts crying again! And they have a big hug and then Mum is walking through the door and wondering why my Dad is crying and smiling and I am crying (AGAIN!!) and then I turn around to Mum and Lanie and say, well we have some news of our own and hold up my hand, and they see my beautiful ring and they are speechless - which is quite a feat for my Mum!! So everyone starts crying again (by this point I am just totally spinning out)!. Mum keeps saying, I can''t believe it, I can''t believe it. We were all so happy. We pop open the first bottle of bubbly and celebrate and then wait around for the rest of the family and friends to arrive.
It was priceless seeing the looks on their faces as everyone arrives separately and when they come in to say Happy BDay, and we say, oh yeah we got engaged today too. Some friends, DF just grabbed my hand and showed them and we just smiled. It was such an incredible feeling! My best friend (I was MOH at her wedding 6 months ago, I have know her for 15 years), she just grabs me and bursts into tears! I was so touched, she was just so happy for us.
It was honestly the best day of my life! DF couldn''t not have planned a better proposal in all my dreams. It was just the two of us, and so perfect and then we had all our friend and family there to celebrate with. I am just on cloud nine!
And ladies, you should have seen the looks when people saw my ering! I have never heard so many WOWs in one night! People were totally blown away with the ring. They were saying how how sparkly it was. I was just so proud. I so have to email Leslie at WF and tell her that my baby is home where she belongs. YAY!!
I have tomorow off work (DF actually organised with my boss as a suprise to take tomorow off to spend with my parents) so I will have to do a photo shoot for my SMTR thread!!!! Sorry ladies, but I will have to keep you waiting a little longer - hey, I waited 12 years, one more day is nothing hey?!

OMG HONEY! I love everything about your proposal! Especially the part about your FI (!!!) understanding your duty to PS and your parents being dressed up like presents! Everything sounds so sweet and well-thought out. I truly am happy for you and can''t wait to hear more about your ring and wedding planning.
