flowers, lanterns, ribbons.....what are you doing??

I''m keeping my decorations simple, since it''s an outdoor, garden wedding. So I''m having rose petals accent the aisle and a floral archway at the bride/groom meeting point.

We''re not having any aisle decoration as of yet. We can''t do petals because they''ll stain the carpet, and the aisle turns a corner so I dunno. Looking for some ideas also I guess!

Likewise for me, it was outdoors in a park so my florist lined rose petals in peach and blush along the aisle.

We did hanging pew bows tied around a bundle of hydrangea. Simple yet a good pop of color.

Hi, I'm not sure whether you're having an indoor or outdoor ceremony, but I've been collecting ideas for a friend's upcoming outdoor wedding and I thought these were really cute!

those are some great ideas!! we are getting married outside, but we are using peonies and hydrangeas for the arrangements. i considered so many things. i know that i want to incorporate ribbon. possibly apples since we are using navy and green. i know that it will hit me eventually!

i wish we could get married in a garden / outdoors but our ceremony HAS to be at the church.

we''re putting bunches of white roses for the pews, and two big altar decorations composed of all white flowers (with the main flower as the rose)... might also get a personalized aisle runner but don''t know what to put in there yet (monograms? date? fave quote?)

ok we are getting married at this point

sorry that pic is very tiny! we will be married near where my fiance is walking

we are having these black folding chairs. i just felt like the black chairs were more me than the white ones, i dunno. since there will only be about 40 guests, with rows of 5, we will only have an aisle with about 4 rows!!

I was just going to say, with scenery like that, I don''t think you need much decoration. It''s beautiful by the way.

We''re having an outdoor wedding on a lawn. We''re decorating the aisle with white and green orchids and draping green leis for each guest over the chairs. I thought about getting a bamboo arch but couldn''t justify the cost ($250+ for half an hour?!) The ocean''s our background so I think it should be ok.

yeah we aren''t doing much! no arch here-i think it would take away from the scenery. i think i am def going with greenery tied in ribbon now. take a look at some beautiful ribbon i found from the ribbon retreat.

i think i''m leaning towards the ruffly navy one! i could also use this ribbon on my cake, and to tie my bouquet.

I''m using an aisle runner and maybe decorating a few of the chairs to help define the aisle. I love this library pic.

oooh, those ribbons are purdy!!! i like the curly navy one. is navy one of your wedding colors?

do you have any ideas on how you''re setting up your chairs? we''re only having 20 people and i''m trying to figure out the setup...

My BM did all our flowers. She used test tubes, wrapped them with ribbon, and tied them to the chairs in the aisle. In them, we stuck white phaleonopsis orchids, which mirrored our center pieces and ceremony flowers. I don''t have a really good picture of the aisles, but here are pictures of the mock up. Sorry for the mess on the table!

oooh that library picture is gorgeous!!!

we are setting up chairs on both sides, with a traditional aisle down the middle. we will probably be having the ceremony 10 or so feet in front of the front row. i''m planning to have 4 rows, 5 chairs deep on each side. it will be kind of a short/wide setup, which i think lends itself well to the place we are having the ceremony.

yeah the curly navy is my favorite too. navy is one of our colors. you are giving me an excuse to post my bridal canvas :). here are some of the things we are using. what do you think? :2o8h065d]bridal canvas[/url]

At the ceremony

uh...I forgot to delete the names...how do I delete the photo?

For our outdoor wedding, we used garden stakes (wrought iron with a green pebble-type thing on top) tied with bows and placed every 10 feet or so.

wow, great canvas! love the splash of pink. i didn''t do a canvas but just collected various pics for ideas.

your 40 chair set up sounds good. i need ideas on what to do with 18 or 20 chairs. i''ll make another post so i don''t threadjack.[/i]

panda: no worries threadjacking! im glad you like the pink-i am actually only using pink in the shoes. the pashminas will be blues and greens. so you are having 20 chairs. do you want the traditional aisle? you could do it, if you define the space starting further back or extending further forward. i would probably start with candles on both sides starting about 10 or 15 feet from the back of the last row, and extending to the front chairs. i would line up chairs to form two sides of aisles (like i did with mine). do you have pictures of where you will have your ceremony?

yimmers: awesome! love those arrangements!!

Thanks for the set up idea! I probably will do a traditional aisle since we don''t have many guests that would lend to a more creative seating arrangement. I don''t have any good pics of our ceremony site but it''s very similar to yours, minus the trees. Your location is lovely, BTW.

This is where we are getting married and this is how we are going to decorate the area/aisle
