How tall are your rings.

How much of the setting is dependent on the depth of the stone? Perhaps that would be nice for people to post as well.

Mine is 1.25, and sits 8mm off my finger.

I have a three stone ring (as seen in my avatar), with the center stone being 5mm high and the side stones 4mm high. I didnt want a drastic drop between my center stone and side stones so I went for a .4/.64/.4 combo instead of the bigger center and smaller sides...! hope this helps...

Jason...sorry it''s taken so long for me to catch up with all these posts! My ring (EC cut) is set low much like in your original picture. I like the low setting as I feeling it keeps the diamond safer (maybe I''m deluding myself...who knows), but I don''t think it takes away from the beauty of the step-cuts.
