How could I possibly resist a thread started by FrekeChild called "I bought my dream wedding shoes"!!!?????

And I gotta say I''m glad I did -- I love those Sashays! Beautiful, elegant, classic... totally worthy of our resident high priestess of the soles! I also like them much more than the original gold shoes.

Are they leather or silk?

BTW I like the simple elegance of a white shoe. But... if you''re willing to relegate them to a one-time (or special occasion only) use, I''d second BlondBunny''s suggestion -- a quality jewel setting iron and a few bags of swarovski iron-on crystals, and you could have some really Freke-worthy bling!

congrats!!! i don''t know how crafty u are but adding swarovski crystals to the shoes is not difficult at all. About 4 yrs ago I was really into the swarovski crystal covered phones and learned to do it myself. I grew out of that but still decorate things here and there, for the wedding i added crystals to my favor stickers, to the lace edge of my cathedral length veil, to the ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket, lol. I get all my crystals, glue, etc from dreamtimecreations.com.

I wasn''t here to receive them, so they''re coming on Monday. After 5pm. So as soon as they get here....

...but for now I''m a sad panda. I was so looking forward to having them be here when I got home.

Aww, Freke love, I was so hoping they''d be waiting for you when you got home, you sound as though you could really have used the uplift. I wish I could give you a big hug

Something to look forward to for you after the weekend, I guess! They are simply divine, they ooze elegance and class. I''d loooooove to see them in blue, especially that electric blue like your avatar, mmmmm.

And I love that your FF had assumed you''d already have wedding shoes! What a guy

I uploaded pics. I''ll crop and resize and be right back!!!!!!!!!

WOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! So I put them on, got up, looked them over, and then started jumping up and down in them when I showed FF and FF tells me: "STOP JUMPING AROUND! You might scuff them!"

I love him! Ok. Here we go! (Only two pics.) Well, there are more, but I won''t post them all...

There isn''t a piece of spare satin to dye though. I''m still considering adding crystals to them, but I''m really scared to dye them...

Even better in your photos. Do you love them?

LOVE them! Thanks for the pics! I can live vicariously through you for the day!

OMG I LOVE THEM!!!!! They are just stunning in person, and the fabric is AMAZING. And they are cushy! And just the perfect height. I can''t say enough good things about them. Seriously. I''m still beaming about them, and they''ve been in my closet for over an hour now.

Ok, I can''t resist, I''m going to post a couple more pics. (Ignore my swollen feet--I''ve been running around in stupid snow boots all day. Not to mention my lack of a pedicure.)

OMG OMG. SEXY SHOES!

I love those Freke, they are so classy!

Hey Freke,

Those shoes are both stunning! I love love love SW!!!

I was actually looking into his bridal shoes the other day... he has some gorgeous ones. Would you recommend any for my style of wedding dress? My Dress

I can't wear super high heels or I will die (I have lower back problems)... I can't wear more than a 3 inch heel unless I get flats for the ceremony and maybe slip into some sexy high heels for the reception.... I really need something comfortable and cushiony... Are there any other name brands besides SW you would suggest? I was thinking Manolo's but they are way too $$$

here are some options i was looking at:

oh my gosh, Liz, they look AMAZING!!!!

I honestly wouldn''t risk dying them without the spare pieces of material. I absolutely love them just as they are!! GORGEOUS!!

I love love love #1, but I think any of those would go. My second favorite pair is probably #5, but really, you have no bad choices there. I''m loving your dress too--so stunning on you!!!!!

So, do you guys think I should attach crystals?

I am seriously drooling over those shoes. Gorgeous! They are beautiful as is but adding some crystals would be so cute too. What size crystals are you thinking and where exactly would you put them?

I think I''d try to mimic the scattering of them like on the gold shoes on the first page. I''m thinking maybe 3mm wide? What do you think? I''ve never done anything like this before. I don''t know what color/s to use either...

She asks diamond lovers ... umm... Yes!! Who can say no to sparklies? I''m certain that you would do it just right and those fabulous shoes would look even more spectacular.

They are gorgeous, Freke - nice choice!

ILTW - tiny threadjack - your dress - on you - is FANfreakintabulous!

I think you should definitely attach crystals! I would check out the original inspiration shoes if possible to gauge how they are attached, but some ideas would be to get the little metal backings and the hand sew them on, or you could get the "hot fix" crystals. you''ll need the tool that comes with it, but it saves you from the stringy mess and potential smearing of a hot glue gun.

Why blue of course! That would look awesome I think. If you don''t wanna risk dyeing them, go for blue sparklies!

I''m going to see if this will attach...it gives a better idea of the crystal placement on the original ones...(I hope!)
