I know, I know, I resolved to wait and try out a bunch of different gowns before I bought a dress, but I found THE dress this evening and I bought it!
You guys were so amazing with all of your feedback and help with the Melissa Sweet dresses, and I did end up buying a Melissa Sweet. (The salon we visited today carried MS, much to my surprise.
I tried on a lot of gowns, some non-Melissa Sweet and many more Melissa Sweet.
SO which gown did I buy, you ask? Was it the crowd favorite, Tallulah? Or perhaps my favorite, Carrie? Or the very popular Lia? The PS favorite, Dora? The Ellie? Liliana?
Well . . . (drumroll please . . . !)
I chose the MILA! I hadn''t even tried it on at PoB, but the style was on my list of favorites. I also LOVED the Jillian but I love the Mila even more.
The thing is, the minute I put it on I just knew it was THE dress. I knew there would be no "What do you girls think?" thread on PS, because I love it no matter what. I suppose that was the "AHA!" factor--that I really didn''t need anyone else''s feedback about the dress, I loved it and that is what matters. I''M SO EXCITED!!!! (And I got 15% off the cost of the dress, which at least brought the cost to just above $3,000.)
The bad news is that my camera wasn''t working, so the best shots we could get were from my mom''s cell phone. They''re pretty horrible, but enough to give you an idea, at least:
