So I finally did my make up trial yesterday at the MAC store near me! My sister needed to pick up new foundation and I really liked the make up artist helping her so I asked her to do it right then. She did pinks and purples for my eyeshadow, a pink lip and cheeks, black eyeliner, and I'll probably add fake eyelashes the day of. What do you think? Opinions are welcome, as long as long as you don't say I'm hideous!

(And I should add that my eyebrows are a smidge out of control right now, but I plan to tame them a bit more before the wedding!)

I liked everything but I think she used too much bronzer. (She put bronzer on before she put blush on.) She even said it looked really dark after she put it on, so the day of I don't think I'll have her do any bronzer at all, just blush.

I think the overall look is very fresh and pretty!

I like it a lot.

I think it looks really nice thing, and I''m picky about makeup. I actually wouldn''t have her skip the bronzer completely - pics can really wash anyone out, and I like the nice glow its giving you there, but maybe she could go a shade or two lighter? I''d also add a little bit more pink or rose (not peachy) blush - that will help the bronzer look more natural. Other than that, I think with fake eyelashes and groomed brows (be sure she or you have something to fill them in and keep them in place, like a wax), I think you will look beautiful

Absolutely beautiful. I agree with the others, that the bronzer is not heavy. It gives you a glow. The colour of your face blends perfectly into your neck and chest, which shows that she got it spot on. I also agree about the blush- using a pinkier one instead of bronzer would look great.

I would definitely go for subtle lashes (such as the individual ones)- they blend beautifully with your natural lashes, plus you don''t have to worry about mascara running if you get hot/ cry (with joy of course!)

I think it looks gorgeous thing!! I wouldn''t change anything to be honest!

Well, hello gorgeous!!! You are so pretty and those colors really compliment your skin tones. I love it!

Hideous.

You look great, Thing. I agree with AG about maybe have a shade or two lighter bronzer, but I think it looks good in the photos.

I think it looks beautiful! Very soft!

I agree with others about the bronzer. I use a little bit of bronzer on my cheekbones every day instead of blush because I feel like it gives more definition and stands out a little more. You definitely want to highlight your facial features for photos and not look washed out. I put on extra bronzer/mascara/etc for my engagement photos and I thought it looked nice.

I really like it! Very soft, natural look...dare I say the innocent bide look? The eye shadow is gorgeous!

Love it!!!

Wow, thanks everyone! It sounds like the make up is a go! (And yes, AmberG, the brows will be tamed! I am a little/a lot lazy about brow upkeep!

As for the bronzer/blush, I''ll just ask her to use a lighter shade of bronzer. The blush she used was actually very pink, but the bronzer was so dark that the blush just didn''t show up. I think she just used that dark bronzer on me because she had used it on my sister before, and my sister has a darker skin tone than I do.

I''m getting excited...everything is coming together!

thing2 - I''ve found that a lot of MUAs tend to overestimate how dark they can go on lots of peoples'' skin (mine in particular - I have super fair skin though, so I guess that''s understandable...).

I hear you on the eyebrow maintenance - I finally found someone I love going to - she has a really soothing Irish accent, and we''re basically friends too, we have so much fun gossiping whenever I go, plus she''s really good at what she does, so now I''m much better about maintenance

I think it looks fantastic! I agree, don''t skip the bronzer completely. Bronzer under blush looks amazing, so I''d go 1-2 shades lighter and also brush some on your t-zone to even it out. My one other suggestion would to go darker on the eyeliner. I think it would make your eyes pop a wee bit more

I think you look gorgeous! I would agree to use the lighter bronzer, and I personally think the fake lashes aren''t needed. The eye make up is absolutely amazing!

It''s so pretty!!!! So fresh but noticeable, not too much or too little. It''s perfect!

I think you look gorgeous. I also wouldn't skip the bronzer entirely.

LOVE IT! I think you should keep it all the same!

You're gorgeous! Keep everything as it is, especially the bronzer, too! It looks perfect.

Thanks again to everyone for the advice and feedback-I feel so pretty tonight!

kama-she did mention that when she does my make up the day of she''ll probably use liquid eyeliner because it will look good with the fake eyelashes. Liquid eyeliner will probably be darker, right? She used black eyeliner but it was the type in a little tub and she put it on with a brush. Maybe that''s why it''s not super dark?

ilovesparkles-for some reason I really want fake ones the day of, but if they look over the top I won''t use them!

AmberG-I have no idea who to go to for eyebrows...I wish I had a nice Irish woman to do mine! I''ve had some bad waxing experiences-they''re always too skinny and once the woman ripped the skin off below my eyebrows and I had scabs there for like 2 weeks! I think I might try threading. The make up artist actually recommended a threading place so I''ll probably try to go there next weekend to try it out. A month should be enough for my brows to grow back right if they get messed up, right?

Definitely go for the threading! I say yes on the false eyelashes. The makeup looks beautiful. I wouldn''t change anything.

I love the "freshness" of your makeup, it compliments your features...I wouldn''t change a thing...

I love it- it looks just gorgeous!!!

Gorgeous and fresh and lovely. Agree with Amber. I loved my fake eyelashes and I have naturally decent ones, so I would do that. Ask her for individuals not a strip though. I tried both and did not care for the strip at all. YAY! I can't wait for you wedding photos!

Very pretty!

I think it looks amazing!

Looks very pretty...and I agree with the other suggestions about the bronzer...but I have one ''new'' suggestion...maybe have them use more of a matte eyeshadow, rather than the frosted look. Some frost for ''highlights'' is nice (just under the brow area), but in the pictures, the lighting will REALLY make any frosty shadow on your eyelids pop and stand out, in a not so attractive way. That''s all I wanted to add! You will be a beautiful bride!

Thanks again, everyone! I feel so lucky to have found such a good make up artist on the fly and I really appreciate you all giving me feedback! (Plus it doesn''t hurt that you all said such nice things!
3.gif
) I seriously NEVER wear make up like this so I have no idea about any of it.

Ara Ann-a friend of mine said the same thing about the shimmery eyeshadow, but I really just love shimmery eyeshadow and I''m not crazy about matte stuff. I don''t know, I think I might stick with it anyway because I actually don''t think it looks too horrible in the pics and it looks great in person. (These pictures were taken with flash indoors, and my wedding will also be indoors so I''m assuming the flash will be used there, too.) Does that change anything? I definitely don''t want the pictures to turn out badly but I just love the shimmer!

So beautiful; love the make up!!! And those eyelash (I am jealous)
