I have a few new stones!

brandy - first and seriously OT I have to do a double take every time I see your name b/c one of SO''s ex has the same name with same last initial (weird!!!!). Just thought it was funny. We''re on good terms btw lol.

Second - that tanzanite is just hideous... I''ll gladly take it off your hands to save you the embarrassment.

In all seriousness. Your new stones are all gorgeous... I esp love the tanzanite... but I''m biased. Do you have plans for them??

Pretty stones, but that tanzanite is nearly electric!

Thank you! No plans yet. My daughter has claimed the tourmaline and aquamarine. I might do something simple for her eventually.

Thanks cellentani! It grabbed me as soon as I took it outside. Electric is right up my alley.

Those are all very pretty stones. As others have said, I am particularly taken with the tanzanite!

I think that electric blue tanzy is just out of this world! Congrats :)

Actually, the tanzanite is very nice.

If my memory doesn''t fail me, it was chictomato''s (of Jstar''s) posting about her stone being sent to another person in a different state. Then Amguy chimed in about Tan and the fact that Tan was very helpful and honest. That is why how we got to know the name of the seller. Then Chic of Jstar posted the photograph of her stone. And then it all started.

I just don''t remember if which of our two conosseurs made the posting. I think it said something about, "do you know gemburionlie". Funny, it started with Tan''s mistake. He surely has the Midas''s touch!

Lovely colours.

AH that is a lovely tanz. Just electric as others have said. The other stones are also very nice. But the color of the Tanz really demands all the attention. TFS!!

Thank you Cind11, SS, crasru, oddoneout, and SH!

Thank goodness for Tan''s mistake then!

These are the other two stones that I bought from him.

1.40 ct oval "Block D" Tanzanite and a 1.04 ct cushion Spessartite

This new Tanzy shows more purple than the first one I got from Tan. The first one very rarely shows any purple and stays blue most of the time only shifting slightly indoors.

It''s an iris, walking regina, I think. Thank you!

I thought the 2 tanzies and the spess looked like the beginnings of a deranged clown face but didn''t see the flower face!

well ya know..he worked for 2-3 years selling stones and not making any money..it was until he got his foot in the door with honest dealings and good deals that things started to come around..helps when the PS'ers get stuff to..I explained to him that if he makes it here with selling stones then he is doing all right as there is not a more critical(in a good way as in very selective and particular) group of gem buyers.
oh and brandy..that tanzy is sweet... again..if it ever gets in your way you know where to send it

luv the flower pics!

Yes that Tanz...blah blah blah, sure it''s nice, but that spess just got overlooked and it too just smolders on that first pic in the flower. Congrats, they are really good buys!

I too am waiting on a parcel from Tan. Last month I had a green zircon from him. I have 2 tanzies a green garnet a minute alexandrite and something else I forget what on the way.

lol..yea yea..the tanz..blah...blah..lololol

Brandy what colors were those tanzies listed under? I know Tan mostly lists them as violet blue or bluish purple. I have a 6mm cushion ring that needs to be filled, and you never know, I may just put a freaking tanzy in there for the hell of it...lol

Yeah, I think it''s pretty funny that my complaint ended up giving Tan a whole lotta PS business. I should ask for a cut!

But seriously, he was super-honest and helpful in the whole matter, and I honestly wouldn''t hesitate to buy from him again. He offered me a discount on future purchases, just waiting for the right stone to pop up. Given all the PSers who have happily received stones from him, it sounds like his shipping issues have been sorted out. I was just very moody while I was waiting for my tanzanite to reach me.

Here''s the thread that started it all.

Here''s the colors they were listed as:
Strong Purple-Blue - the first tanz, more blue than purple
Strong Vivid Violetish-Blue - the second tanz, has a touch more purple

Thanks amethystguy! Tan having your seal of approval was a big factor in me having enough confidence to give him a try for myself.

Thanks Vapid! Can''t wait to see your pics! Was it you that got an electric tanzy from Tan as well not too long ago?
