No, but a friend uses snowberries as hand soap. Apparently some of the plants make great soap so I wouldn't be shocked if that were one.

Random thought- My 12 year old dog is very content and is thriving on being the only dog since we lost my everything dog last October. I am kind of sad about this because I think DH and I do best with 2 or 3 dogs but she is just so happy now and DH and I are just going to roll with it.

I had her off leash in the yard yesterday and she took off after a rabbit. I yelled "stop!" and the most stubborn dog in the world (Rottie/Basset Hound mix) stopped and I was kind of amazed by this. So rabbit lives to see another day which makes me very happy.

I just found out, through old documents and paperwork, that a certain family member (passed away now) became pregnant out of wedlock twice.

This family member was 'holier than thou' and very pious. These events happened in the 1950s-60s. All was swept under the rug, as was customary in those days.
What irony!

Maybe she is trying to be your everything dog now and wants to please. If you bring in another dog, just try to give them equal time and love so one doesn't feel slighted (I know I'm attributing human feelings here, but I do think dogs have some at times).

Absolutely loving this trend! Years ago there were hardly any threads about emeralds nor were people buying them and showing them off. There’s definitely been an uptick and I am here for it!

I think I would set them in a wood and canvas frame with the canvas painted black. They would be my flowers and I would paint vines and a few brightly colored insects climbing and attempting to reach the sparkly flowers.

Omg I hope you went back and got them! I’d be finding a desk to refurbish or something just to use them. Or, since you make jewelry, do you have a piece in your workspace you could use them?

I will head back on Monday and get them.
There are a few pieces of furniture in this house that I could put them on. If not, maybe I'll find a small chest of drawers at the thrift store. I'll find use for them somehow!

I bought new storm doors about 5 years ago. The handle totally fell off one of them last week. DH said we needed to replace the door. I didn't want to spend $700 or more to replace a door that only needed a new handle. I bought a handle on Amazon and replaced it! Then I fixed the door going from the garage to breezeway by moving the kick plate 1/4 inch lower. The door would blow open if I had the garage bay doors open and a strong gust of wind came through.

These little things build my confidence.

And while chatting with my mom today I looked out the window and saw a bluebird perched on my my ornamental blueberry bush, selecting the best blueberries to eat. His violet plumage is breathtaking. I saw my first bluebird a few years ago in my yard. I obsessively added bird houses all along the perimeter of my privacy fence hoping they would stay. This is the 4th year of bluebirds for us!!! Last year one mated pair produced 3 broods. I love them so much and glad we share a yard together.

Made a fun find recently. Sort of local (not much is truly local as we live between towns...) movie theater only plays one movie per weekend. Their ticket counter is the concession stand with fresh popped popcorn covered in real butter. The lobby area is also an ice cream parlor with fresh made waffle cones and nice ice cream. The bar sells beer and wine served in real glasses. Ice cream and glasses are welcomed and encouraged in the theater. We enjoyed the ice cream and wine plus met a number of people. I chatted across the aisle with a lady about the various places to get the best quality groceries. Such a nice experience!
