I did a Pricescope search for virtual diamonds in your price range and color choice. They all have EX HCA score and only up to faint flour. These are virtual which means your jeweler may have access to any of these. It might be worth writing down the cert numbers so they can check their database. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get the number from JA.

Agree, 60/60 not my usual preference too but this one looks good. GIA cert details available too so you see if your jeweler can access this one if your are interested.I like this one https://www.b2cjewels.com/dd/191000...m_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com
Also, I literally never like 60/60 style stones, but I like this one: https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-de...Ad&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=PriceScope
OMG. An in-person comparison of this stone next to the last one that OP’s jeweller suggested would be so awesome!! Talk about “comparing flavours”!! If only! Also, I literally never like 60/60 style stones, but I like this one: https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-de...Ad&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=PriceScope

Okay. Yes. Have them pull this stone. You want to see this stone in-person.
Still got some pavilion asymmetry, definitely not H&A. So it’s still a bit of a “compromise” on that front.
But.
1. Its a VS2. Let’s put pesky interfering inclusions to bed.
2. Faint fluor shouldn’t be anything you notice IRL outside of at the nightclub. But have your jeweller check this with a blacklight because GIA sometimes pulls fluor grades out of a hat.
3. It’s got much better optical symmetry than some of your other options.
4. Girdle is nice and bright.
See how the arrows are white face-up but go black at very small tilt? In the photos on some vendors’ websites the arrows are all black faceup. This stone’s are white because the stone is slightly deeper than the proportions that those vendors aim for. But not overly so. This stone isn’t “leaky”.
In-person this stone will look darker and moodier than one with PS preferred proportions. It won’t be as bright white. But it will show more coloured light return across a variety of lighting environments than those other stones show. The key is that the differences would be minimal. I’ve written about why a blood red IS or ASET with thick black arrows isn’t going to best suit everyone’s tastes… I’m on my phone and can’t find those posts, but I’ll see if I can dig a thread up later tonight.
Is one better than the other? Well. That’s a question of balance. Most vendors of precision cut stones aim for a specific balance of white light and coloured that has proven to be generally crowd-pleasing. That’s the flavour that the PS recommended proportions target as well. It’s a specific flavour. Other flavours may be less generally crowd-pleasing but might suit you better. Or maybe not. Me, I’m a sucker for colour. My stone is outside PS preferred proportions sets too - I chose it that way deliberately. My stone wouldn’t be to everyone’s tastes. I think you need to see it to know how you feel. If the flavour is right for you then this could be a beautiful and minimum-compromise option.
Happy to help!Hi Yssie.
thank you so much for your replies. I sit and re-read them many times over because they're always so full of information and I learn so much; you point out and make me aware of things I never knew to look or pay attention to. I keep repeating this, but I am so thankful for this community and everyone for being so kind and helpful. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
I have spoke to the jeweler and they are brining in the stone for me to view *fingers crossed* it works out.
if you took this stone and say the 60/60 that @lovedogs posted earlier on this page, and took a stone with PS preferred proportions and stuck it in the middle of the two, so all three are in a row…when you say this stone will be less white, but will show more colour light return is this the fire? if so, I love colour; I love seeing the rainbow flashes of light.
The stone you’re having your jeweller pull has superior optical symmetry to your current stone. It’s still a compromise compared to true H&A, but - not to be redundant but I guess it’s redundant! - it might be a beautiful compromise option if you like the flavour.also would you say this stone is on par cut wise or has less optical symmetry than the original? Not much compromise on that front?
TIA
thank you for explaining in such a visual way; great examples.Take them outside on a cloud day, and you’ll see the the 60/60 looks like a bright blazing white dot. And the PS preferred proportions stone is a bright white dot. And the stone you’ve asked your jeweller to pull, that’s a bright white dot too. Now take all three into a dim room and crawl under a desk. The 60/60 is still a bright white dot. Looks most like a flashlight. The one with PS preferred proportions is a bit less bright, still white, but less bright. And the stone you’ve asked your jeweller to pull is the least bright. Still white. But visibly less bright. Least flashlight-like. Now go outside into bright sunlight. All three throw off a ton of white flashes and a ton of coloured flashes. Walk back indoors through the store lobby with overhead fluorescents, toward the main showroom with those dazzling spotlights. If you keep watching the stones as you walk, you’ll see that the stone you’re having pulled will keep showing lots of coloured flashes… fewer white flashes. The 60/60 will change personality in the lobby - it’ll still show lots of white flashes but someone who’s looking closely will see less colour. The PS preferred proportions will be somewhere between the two.
Light return is almost entirely a function of lighting environment, but different flavours of proportions will show nuanced behaviours across a variety of lighting environments.
yay to better optical symmetry ; I am ok with the compromise of a true H&A as long as my new stone is beautiful (to me & I like the flavour). I mentioned before in my original thread my original ER was a 1CT AGS 000 H&A . I know for my budget and size upgrade preference a true H&A with similar stats to my original ER was out of my price range. The stone you’re having your jeweller pull has superior optical symmetry to your current stone. It’s still a compromise compared to true H&A, but - not to be redundant but I guess it’s redundant! - it might be a beautiful compromise option if you like the flavour.
@yssie will do. Thanks for the sound advice. Do you have a thread/post or a picture of your current stone. I would love to see . I know at one point you had that beautiful 5 stone ring (lol I mentioned how beautiful it was/is in my email to you)When you do go see it be sure to compare it to some other stones. Thats the easiest way to judge whether or not you love how it behaves! And it’s PERFECTLY okay if you don’t care for it. It is not a particularly balanced flavour of stone, so it won’t be to everyone’s tastes. So let yourself feel however you feel!
For what it’s worth - I’m not into balanced RBs. My stone is a high-crown H&A - more extreme than the one you’re having pulled. I have compared it to ACAs and CBIs and actively preferred it to those brands. So that’s the sort of person I am, and you should weight my opinion accordingly

@lovedogs thank you for the suggestions as well. I guess someone else also liked the https://www.b2cjewels.com/dd/191000...m_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com as it is now sold.I like this one https://www.b2cjewels.com/dd/191000...m_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com

@yssie Yes "if only" indeed. It would be awesome if I could see the difference and see what flavour preferredOMG. An in-person comparison of this stone next to the last one that OP’s jeweller suggested would be so awesome!! Talk about “comparing flavours”!! If only!
Note to self - later today, go into a dim room and crawl under a desk.
Hi Everyone,
Sorry it took so long for an update... I ended up going with the 2.30 ct stone. I received the finished ring at the end of October; I wanted to update then, but things got busy-baby, toddler & holidays. I am very happy with the final ring .
Thank you all again for your help. This was such a stressful experience... it took months, lots of second guessing, worry and ended up costing $ more than expected, but in the end it all worked out; I really do appreciate all the guidance & listening ears while working through this project .
Here are the pictures (2.30 CT, ring/finger size 2.5):
First two are from the night I picked up the ring.
The rest of the pictures are from today, taken on a dark cloudy overcast day. I really wish I could capture the true beauty; my pictures really do not do the ring justice. I wish I could take beautiful pictures like some of the other PSers on here.
I will also start a SMTB thread ...

Sooooo amazing! Yes this deserves a SMTB thread!
What a great outcome - looks so amazing
Thank you @Crazie4Cuts . It was quite the journey to get here. Yes, the difference between the two stones is night & day (to me anyways). @yssie & @DejaWiz are wonderful as is this community; I’m so grateful for PS & everyone’s help .@sparklebling123 Thank you for coming back and showing us your new diamond/ring! Honestly so happy for you and wear in good health in 2022! What a difference in this stone versus the original! @yssie, @DejaWiz you guys are the bomb! Another thing I’m glad your jeweler worked with you and you were able to get another diamond! I hope the beauty of your ring makes up for the amount you had to spend (and I hope it wasn’t too much $).

Gorgeous ring! Congrats! Finger size 2.5??!! Wow!!
@diamondyes thank you for your kind words . The setting is custom. That was another stressor for me; I was very specific with the design and details of the setting. This is my upgrade & it was important for me to get everything as perfect (to me) as possible.Stunning ring!! May it be a testament to your resilience and tenacity! Ability to persevere!
Did I miss reading where the setting is from? I love this whole look. It’s wonderful!
What a great outcome for you and a testament to the ‘know how’ and expertise here on PS, especially from the esteemable @yssie - congratulations!
So so lovely! And if ONLY I had such beautiful slender fingers - would save me a fortune
Looks like you picked a really fab stone there and the setting really makes the most of it.
Wear with joy!
@Austina thanks you’re too kindSo glad it all worked out, it’s a beautiful ring and looks stunning on your dainty finger.
