also, we ordered 3 bm dresses from Pearls and had no problems,
however you need to know which size you need (based on the mfr size charts) they will not help you over the phone if you give them just measurements.
also, be prepared for "brisk and efficient" (i.e. they are not warm and fuzzy) but they get the job done at a great price and on-time delivery!

Haha, the reason I look uncomfortable in the pic. is because the dress was a size too small, but the sales clerk decided to zip me into it anyway...so basically I couldn''t breathe! When I tried it on again, I actually split the zipper! I was so mortified, but I had really tried to talk her out of zipping it all the way, and she insisted, so at least I didn''t feel too guilty

. I''ve definitely decided that this is THE dress, so as long as it works out, I am done looking! I did find a better bra at another store, surfgirl, thanks for the suggestion! I''m surprised that you''re the first to point out that I look like I''m going to pass out in the pic!

I haven't ordered from Pearl's, but their rep is very legit. They're a "real" shop that added online orders to their business. They got an "A" rating from the most recent (8th!) edition of the book Bridal Bargains. The ratings are based on the authors' own research plus feedback from brides and should be trustworthy. The book says their prices are often 20-30% lower than normal retail.

ETA: Thanks for the venue info, Sabine! FF's family is from Greensburg, but all of mine is scattered across the continent. Ideally I'd like my relatives to be able to fly in and not have to additionally drive a huge distance, so I'm thinking of trying within a 45-min radius from the airport. Either that or we'll make EVERYBODY travel and come to us here in MI where we go to school. I think at this point we may make the decision based on wherever we find the venue we like the best...

I live in Philly now, but was born and raised in Hershey... and all my family is still there and I work part-time for my dad''s businesses, so I''m back home all the time. I actually just had my wedding at the Hotel in May!!

Finally, have any of you out there gotten dresses that you mail ordered from Pearl''s Place? I just want to make sure they are legit. before ordering...

I did. It was pretty simple. I called with the style number and got a quote. They''ll actually match other quotes (from RK or netbride, etc.). I gave them my info and the dress came on exactly the day they said it would in the manufacturer''s box with all the accessories. Right size. Right color. Right everything. It is a little nervewracking to give someone all that money and then not hear anything for 12 weeks, but it all worked out exactly as advertised. And if you get a pis*y woman on the phone, call back until you get the guy (sorry, I don''t remember his name) or someone else helpful.
