I'd get a Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible. I LOVE Saabs! They are unique, luxurious, yet sporty, and they last!

How about this one: SAAB Aero-X or http://www2.saabusa.com/aerox/US/en/index.html

I too have the BMW M Roadster convertable in British racing green, and love it! Surprizing to see several of us with one here. They are not too common.

If I were shopping for a fun convertible now, I would look at the Boxter, the new porsche Cayman(?), and the BMW z4. If I wanted a back seat, I'd check out the 3 series BMW and the Audi A4. We had an Audi a6 several years ago, and it was one of the best cars we have ever owned (compared to BMWs, Lexus, Acura, etc...).

I drove the 330ci which was fabulous and also the Audi Cabriolet. Both are awesome, but I am leaning toward the Bmw. I want to go drive a Mercedes. My first car was a Mercedes 280se. My father reburbished the 1971 ''boat'' for me as a high school graduation gift in 1982. It was awesome, but of course we spent alot of time in the shop. My hubby is not so keen on a small car and wants a Range Rover, but aren''t they on the least reliable list? ANN- when do you get your vette? what color ect?

The BMW is a great choice, and I think you''re wise to look at 4-seaters (especially if your hubby''s not too keen on small cars). I love my Z3, but there are a couple of things that I didn''t think about when deciding to get a 2-seater:

-- Some areas have HOV-3 lanes, and there''s no way that you''d be able to use them.

-- Often, you can only transport something that can''t fit in the trunk (which often happens in my car) if no one is in the passenger seat.

-- You may want to drive multiple people around a lot more than you''re expecting.

At the same time, it doesn''t burn all that much gas and is great for parallel parking. And, if you and your husband have another (larger) car, none of these are very big deals.

It sounds like you have a ton of great options. Have fun test-driving and making your final decision!

PS. I''m in love with heated seats too.

Yes....love the heated seats

Makes it fun to drop the top even when it''s a little cool outside!

I agree with the trunk space limitation, but we do have a Land Rover too, so I just use that when I need to haul anything large.

Regarding the Range Rover....we love our Land Rover Discovery...It''s old now (1997) but paid for and runs just as well as the day we bought it. I really love the Range Rover and the new models are more reliable than years past.

Can''t wait to see what you decide
