Immediate Gratification--Meet my new setting!

Hi Nala! Thanks for the pictures! I came back to see if you've posted anymore.
It really does look like a crown from the side!
I personally think the double claws help it look more elegant (but I may be biased since i have double claws too - haha) but I think it really fits the setting well. Also, maybe the jeweler put the double prongs to help support the stone since it's set a little high (which i also love)?
All just speculation, but for what it's worth - I think its BEAUTIFUL!!

That is so pretty! Kind of reminds me of an antique with a modern twist...I really like it!

Thanks again for your lovely comments. I wanted to post more pictures. The first illustrates how high the diamond is set. I have to admit that I'm kind of liking it. I don't know if any of these highlights the prongs and how they aren't just double claw but they are double claw split which still throws me off. The last picture is a real life. My daughter is wearing it.

I love those prongs! I understand about the height thing though if it isn't interfering with life, then hopefully it's not an issue?!

I really love it, too. Reminds me of something I saw on the Gabriel and Co. website. I'll see if I can find it if I have the time.

Very pretty! I love that it's a fairly complicated setting, but still looks delicate. Enjoy your new ring:)

Maybe this is the one I was thinking of. Yours is prettier with those pears!

This is so pretty!! It looks lovely on you too - no wonder you couldn't resist!

One of the prettiest settings I've ever seen!

It's very unique and very pretty!

So unique and pretty!

Wow!!!! What a unique and intricately gorgeous setting. I too have never seen one like it before! I love it!
I do agree with your first instinct that the stone is set too high, though it seems you may have already gotten used to it?

I love the new photos. It's such a pretty ring.

Gorgeous, unique setting. Is the knife edge comfortable? It looks a bit sharper than most.

WOW so gorgeous and blingy. It is so delicate and intricate. Love all the details. :appl:

Really lovely! I haven't seen any setting quite like it before.

Do you have any side views of the setting? It's so unique.

It's a delicious confection!!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

First, I want to say thank you to all! I have posted a lot of SMTB threads, but I've never gotten so many compliments! I must say that I'm very flattered.

Oh can we see profile shots. It is an interested scalloped looking halo and I really like it paired with your wedding band. Is the band new too? I really like how it is squared off in the pictures with your MRB. love it!

Thanks. The band is fairly new, but I didn’t buy it specifically for this setting. I’m still playing around with a few choices.

gorgeous! Was it custom or do you know the brand? LOVE the finger coverage too!

Thanks. The band is not custom, just happened to be in stock, but it is not a specific brand.

Derbygal, thanks for posting a comparison!

I do think it is higher than I originally preferred, but it is growing on me!

Thank you and I agree! That is one of the reasons that I was drawn to it!
