I''ve noticed that the threads about inspiration boards are dying out, so this is my attempt to revive them! I''m not engaged yet, but I really enjoy looking at and creating inspiration boards! Please add yours and share your great ideas! Here are a few that I have created:

Good idea TiffanyLady! I''d also like to see PS''ers inspiration boards - there are so many ladies here who have phenomenal taste... I''d love to "borrow" some ideas

This is gonna seem like a really dumb question, but what is the point of these boards? I''ve seen them all over, but I don''t really get them. Are they the things you''re going to use put together to see how they look, or things/styles that are in your color scheme? Thanks!

thanks for giving me a new way to distract myself online

Here''s mine, new and improved! Most of the stuff is stuff we''re actually using.

It can be either one, pp -- things you are going to actually use, a color scheme, or simply things that would fit the style of the wedding you''re envisioning. I think one way in which inspiration boards can be useful is in helping to communicate the "look and feel" of the wedding you''re planning to any vendors you are working with. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks mscushion. Your answer makes a lot of sense! Thanks!

I noticed that a lot of ladies on here use Bridal Canvas to create theirs. You can use the bridal elements they already have or upload your own pictures to put them together on a canvas.

I have been using Polyvore to do a few boards myself.

PS ladies sure are talented

I love seeing everyones different ideas and how people tie everything together.

This is one a create a few weeks ago- we have decided on black for the bridesmaids dresses and wanted to find a colour for highlights.

(sorry it is so small- was having so much trouble resizing it!)

WOW, thank! Thank you Hawaiian for the question, and thank MsCushion for the answer! I cannot wait to try this out!

You inspired to me to find a way to kill an afternoon. :) It''s fun to see all of the ideas put together.

This is for my Oct 2009 wedding.

Here goes nothing...this stuff is all for real, except perhaps the reception venue. And my MOH''s dress is very similar to that one, just slightly different.

ooooops!!!! sorry about all of the white space.

Here''s one of mine. Nothing is "real" (yet), except the venue, which is a lakeside tower, and perhaps the dress.

Ok so here goes nothing... sorry it is VERY busy... just wanted to get all of the elements in.

Here''s my board.. Bali style!

Here''s the one I posted the other day--this is mostly just for color right now, but I''m sure it will change as I nail things down and add more ideas!

I finally made one! I''m thinking blushes and golds, lots of candlelight, with a sort of antique/vintage feel. The wedding will be October of 2010, so I''m a little worried it''ll look too springy? Of course we are having it in Naples, FL so I don''t think the season will matter too much.

Argh-I never should''ve been nosey and went to that bridalcanvas place..I played on it all afternoon. And I used a template but can''t figure out how to save it-what am I doing wrong?

Packrat i couldn''t figure out how to save it when i used the templates either, so i made mine using the link ''create canvas'' (not use template) i actually found it easier too because i didn''t have to find pictures to fit into the shapes of the template, and there''s a save button at the bottom of the page!

Sharing it got me stumped for a few minutes though... i ended up saving it to my desktop (i think it was the download button) so i could post it.

cool-thanks! I''ll give it a whirl tomorrow!

Mscushion: That''s my dress!! A beautiful silk taffeta Amsale!!
