Instagram vs reality

Ok that makes sense. I had thought spectral colors referred to those softer colors that dance all over the stone in indirect light (under a tree) type scenarios. I probably misunderstood the terminology.

Ok. So I found this image D4DD898C-0B71-4A0F-B1F6-66BEEB39822B.png

Awesome! It’s basically the rainbows you see all over the wall etc when light shines on your diamond then? Those are definitely never in pastels.

I think so. And the colors within the diamond are a deep yellow, blue, purple, etc.

This was taken outdoors by a yellow building:

And here’s a beautiful path with flowering plants:

Some of the garden shot color is the flowers and some is becuse there are thousands of small pin-hole light sources.
We call this the broad leaf tree effect.
If you do it on a cloudy day you will get an even better effect.

Green is an almost impossible natural fire color because green is in the center of the visual spectrum (rainbow) and usually mixes with blue and orange to make white flashes.

If you have a black case back off and take the picture from a distance and crop the image later. You will also capture more fire doing this so it helps with any color phone.
