Sounds like you are suffering from the common bridal phenomia "shrunk head syndrom" -- this is where a bridal gown suddenly seems to "swallow" the bride at the neckline due to too much fabric and not enough skin. It''s a very easy fix, the seamstress at the salon where you purchased your gown can carefully alter the neckline without losing the "look" to allow more of the declate to show. I work in the bridal industry and see this more often than you''d think--esspecially in brides that purchase their gowns months in advance and go long periods without seeing the dress.

20 pounds seems like an overly aggressive goal. If I were you, I''d buy some spanx which will smooth you out in the areas you think are problematic.

Also, keep in mind...fitting are more or less illusions! You are dressed in your wedding gown, but your hair isn''t done, nor is your makeup professionally done...the dress itself isn''t pressed properly... there are so many important factors that are missing during these "fittings" you can''t take them to seriously. Plus, lighting in bridal salons is harsh and unwelcoming...
