update: Last night we went to our favorite wine bar after dinner. And we were talking about stuff, and he says "hypothetically if we got engaged before Christmas how would we fit in all of the family stuff with visiting both our families?" All of our future converstations start with "hypothetically" these days, he''s still trying to surprise as much as possible. I told him that we''d just have to do lots of driving around the greater Houston area over Dec 23-25, in order to see everyone, b/c everyone will want to see us, and hear the news, and of course see the beautiful ring. Then later he mentioned our trip to Austin for my b-day weekend, and said how it will be nice to "get away" for the weekend. I thought we were going to visit his best friend, etc, so hopefully he has *special* plans for us. The next two weeks are going to feel like two months. I''m so excited!

I think he talked to my grandma today. After we had lunch with her and were back at the house, he reminded me that i needed to balance my checkbook (my PC is currently at my family's house), so I went upstairs for awhile and he later came up. Later on I asked him if they had a good chat, and he claimed that she fell asleep in her chair, so I don't believe that. Right before we left, I took a short walk with my grandma, she asked how things were with us, and then said maybe I'd get a diamond in my stocking for Christmas. I told her that it should happen soon, and she asked how I knew that, and I told her that I designed the ring. Then right as we were leaving she kept telliing me to call her tomorrow. Also he seemed quieter (he's usually quite a talker) and more reserved today, but after his alone time with grandma he seemed much more relaxed. So I think he was nervous about having "the talk" or just trying to think of exactly what he wanted to say.

unrelated: I won an ipod nano as a door prize at the BFs company Christmas party last night...so since I gotten him an ipod for his b-day I get to keep this one.

Today is our two year anniversary!

I don''t think tonight is the night. He''d definitely be acting a little odd and he''s not. Also we are going to his friends annual Christmas party tonight.

Oh apple how exciting!! I know the last 3 weeks before my fiance proposed seemed like FOREVER but it was so filled with anticipation (and hope that nothing else would go wrong)

I forgot to mention a few other things from the BFs company Christmas party...

1. The CEO announced that they''d be getting very good bonuses this year. A few weeks ago the BF had heard they weren''t going to be good at all, which was odd b/c they''ve had such a profitable year. He was really upset about it b/c he had planned to use his bonus to pay for the ring instead of his savings. So this is very good for us, now we''ll have more money to buy a house.

2. There was a couple playing blackjack with us, and the wife had a small but super sparkly ring. It was sparkling like mad in the dark, and even looked to maybe have a little blue flour. When I complimented her and her hubby on the ring, they started laughing, it almost made me think that maybe it was a CZ and they have everyone fooled, but it was just sparkley and it was really dark.

Last night the BF went to dinner with his parents, and they live about 30-40 minutes away from him, so he usually only sees them on weekends. He claimed that he had to go by their house to pick up some mail and insurance stuff...I thought that was just an excuse, b/c they live close to the big airport and he''ll be going to the airport tomorrow. I also thought it was strange that he didn''t invite me join him. I think he was filling them in on the "plan" whatever it is. He called me on the way home, and I think he almost let something slip. He started to say how his parents were going to be somewhere and then just stopped midsentance and claimed how he thought they would be in Dallas tomorrow when he was, but they weren''t.

I''m really starting to think its going to happen this weekend. I called my grandma yesteday to see if she wanted to have dinner on Sunday for my b-day after we get back from Austin. She started saying how things were really going to get great for me. And then said she was sure that she''d hear from me before then, and then almost sounded like she was going to say that my plans might change.

Well then I went and bought my BFs engagement watch--a rolex submariner, so now I totally understand his hesitation to buy my ring, these things aren''t cheap.

Then I was talking to him while driving around to finish up my Christmas shopping, and he started telling me about a house for sale down the street from one of his friends, and we started talking about how much we had saved for a down payment and and I mentioned that I''d have to subtract the watch from my savings (he doesn''t know when he''s getting it), and he mentioned that I didn''t have to buy him one, even though I know he really wants it. Little did he know that I already had. I''m hiding it in my coffee table.

He did it last night! I was so surprised! I haven''t even had time to take pictures or anything. It has been such a whirlwind and my camera chord is at g-ma''s house, so even if I had pics I couldn''t download them anyway. I''m so glad that he did it last night since today is my birthday I get to show all my friends tonight. My co-workers love it and of course I do too!!!

I won''t be back online until Sunday evening...so don''t expect any more details until then. But don''t worry it will be worth the wait!!!
