If you had to choose, which would you pick?

Hmmm, not sure what happened to my first post but I voted for travel. You''ll have pictures and memories of a trip for a lifetime. Why are you asking, Harriet?

I chose travel, but we''re talking major international travel!!! Chances are he''ll but me some jewels while we''re there! LOL!!

I picked travel because I already have a lot of jewelry and there are so many places that I''d like to visit.

BOTH!!!!

Travel when you''re young and adventurous and gorgeous and don''t ''need'' any gllitter.

Jewelry when you''re older and more settled and slightly less gorgeous.

I pick travel too-I just love going to different cities and countries

I voted travel, and we did make that choice for our 10th anniversary. Plus, as CrookedRock points out, being in a new place is a great excuse to buy jewelry! I got a lovely pair of earrings when we were in Greece for our anniversary.

I picked travel because that way we both enjoy it- as much as he loves me, he can''t get as much of a thrill spending thousands on something only I can wear!!

I think traveling is great from year to year with bigger jewelry purchases every few years. I think a balance of both is good.

If I had to choose just one...definitely travel! Widget, loved your reasoning as well!

Definitely travel. I''d rather have more memories than *things*.

Yes exactly what widget said! I may be moving toward older and settled.

This is a no brainer for me. Travel! I love jewelry but . . I love to get special pieces every couple of years. I travel every year and love it! Travelling wins my heart plus I love meeting people and having experiences that can not be bought.

Miss Harriet, what is your answer? My guess would be both for you but weighs a little more on the jewelry am I right?

Same here. When I was younger, travel is the way to go. I had so much energy and time (and looked great). Now that I''m busier, tied down with children and looking not so great, I need some sparklies as a pick me up.

How ironic is it that I choose travel and yet spent tens of thousands more on a ring than I ever have on travel? Oh I know, because I couldn''t get the dh to make travel important enough but somehow managed to get this ring out of him even though he thinks diamonds are ridiculous LOL

Curiosity; infinite wants, finite resources.

I''m hoping he''ll buy me the Cartier Trinity bracelet in Paris. Fat chance! I''ll buy his wedding ring there though.

What''s your secret?

I voted for travel.

Jewelry. With a few small trips through the year...Most years. With the kids and school schedules and sports schedules we just never have time to be gone for very long. That''s one of the reasons we chose to live where we do. It''s kinda like a vacation every day. BIL calls our location ''the resort''.

How nice! Where do you live?

SO CA coast.

May I come visit?

Of course you may! There is a contingency. You must bring your LM with you when it is finished!
