I don''t remember how much it sold for, but it was really pretty. It was a round stone in a diamond setting, very pretty. Hope GSN ships your stone out soon. blah on them.

Hey you guys...thought I''d jump back in here. Conitta, was it you who said GSN does not sell be treated sapphires? Have you actually heard them say this?

I''m pretty sure their loose gemstones are OK, but I''m still really leery of some of the stones in their "closeout" jewelry. A moderately priced orange/red sapphire set with diamonds sounds fishy to me...

widget

Hi Widget,

I heard Marvin say it because someone called in and asked. Maybe it was HIS sapphires, who knows, but the orange/red sapphire was fishy to me too. Now he did say the pads are not heat treated at all.

Linda

JTV said today the Andesine/Labradorite was going for $500.00-$1200.00 a ct. Wholesale.Find that rather hard to believe!!!

So do I Connie. They always hype things up.

Connie and Widget,

I am sending back my Pad to GSN. I decided it is too small, even though it is 1.22 and the price is too high. I can do better with the natural sapphire company. I want to save up and get a bigger carat weight too. I will have them help me with the color I want too.
9.gif

Oh Linda, thought you were so in love with it.But...I don''t blame you, get the biggest you can! I hate trying to pick something out that I am looking for and not being able to see it in person.

Connie

Hi Connie,

I really like the color, but for a square cushion and a 1.22 it is too small. I want a bigger one. Aren''t I fussy?? ha ha ha ha. Besides, the price is too high I think.

Linda

Pads are high priced anyway and you will probably pay more for the color you want.Good luck in your search. I would like to have a popcicle blue Tourmaline. You see all these gems in pictures, the net and on tv and really don''t know if you will like it in person. I do not like a dark stone..nor a light one.
33.gif
Don''t know what I like. You sure wont find these gemstones in retail...at least not in my necl of the woods.

Connie

"you can''t beat it.. no way no how!" *cringe*

am i the only one who prefers to have the television muted when marvin is on?

i do like sue and ben.

Hi Jicky...Guess I have gotten used to him, if possible. I think Frank is worse... to me...Do you watch JTV? Tamara is the one that gets on my LAST nerve. Man they need to do something about her.I am sure she means well and a nice person but she is loud and down right silly. I can''t believe they do not call her down. But guess she is somones favorite host out there!

Connie

Misty is the one who gets to me on JTV. With her, "first come first served" blah blah blah.
14.gif
She says it every few seconds. I feel like saying "shut up already" ha ha ha ha ha.

Linda

Linda...I got my ring from JTV yesterday and to my surprise it is a nice ring.It is way heavier than I would Have thought. The diamonds are clear and it is 18K.I am not a band type person as I like my rings to go north & south, (makes my fingers appear longer :) but I like this one. I think it looks ok on the pointer finger and goes well with the ring finger rings.Does not take away from them. I fell naked if I do not have a ring on those 2 fingers...LOL.Have not recieved the Tsavorite garnet yet! If it comes today, it should be here shortly. If it does not come I think I will call them and tell them to keep it if it has not been shipped!!!!

Hi Connie,

I am so glad you are happy with it. I hope you get the Tsavorite soon. Wonder what the hold up is??????
29.gif
Let me know what you find out ok?

Linda

Hi Linda....I called them earlier and it is ready to ship out today and should receive it by Tuesday. I have never had anything take this long.I called back and got the number..so we will see. It probably is dark but hope it is of med. color...Will let you know.

Connie

Hi Connie,

I wonder what took them so long. I hope it is the color you wanted. I see that JTV has some pretty Tsavorite too, I was just looking at their website. I was looking at their rings.

Linda

They have some nice ones at JTV.They were just showing a tray earlier. That is where I got the Tanzanite ring in my avatar. It is a little big and needs resizing and I am scared to have it done!!
7.gif

Connie

Connie, they won''t hurt your stone resizing it, so go ahead and do it. They just hurt my stone re-setting it, but it is fixed now and really pretty. They fix the band, they won''t touch your stone. Don''t be afraid.

Linda

Actually I have 3 Tanzanite rings I need sized. I have the little tacky plastic ring sizers...shhhh Don''t tell nobody!
20.gif
The heat doesn''t hurt the stone? I am affraid of the heat and then damage to the stone if it had to be removed...I had an Emerald ring resized and she put something on the stone to protect it...some kind of cream.

Connie

I promise you, it won''t hurt the stone. I had mine re-sized, including my emerald one (my anniv ring) and they both came out perfect) Honest, get them re-sized and enjoy them. Remember though, Tanzanite are soft stones, so only wear them on special occasions and be careful not to bang them, they will scratch very easily, same with the Andesine/Labradorite. I only wear my Tanzanite on dates with my hubby, then I guard it with my life. ha ha ha

BTW, I know, I am crazy, but I KEPT MY PAD STONE AFTERALL, ha ha ha. I could not give up that color. It is the perfect pad color.

Linda

Hey Connie,

It is a good thing we don''t live near eachother, we would have JTV on all day. LOL LOL.

****I know that is why I have not had any of them sized. My first Tanzanite ring has a metal guard on it and that is from about 4 yrs ago

****Me too or when I go shopping out of town and I KNOW I will going in and out of jewelry stores.

I could not give up that color. It is the perfect pad color.

****So what are you going to do with it?? Will you make it into jewelry? I have a multi-sapphire ring and pendent and they had a pad in it.Wish I could find one that color and in a round...YES..Very pretty color.

we would have JTV on all day. LOL LOL

**** But Linda, I do have them on all the time.(sometimes cartoons)I have to have the TV on for noise.(you wouldn''t think I would have to with a 11/2 yr old around...lol!)The radio just doesn''t do the job.I used to have QVC on all the time until we went to satilight and I found JTV.On the week-ends I switch up between JTV & GSN.

LOL, me too Connie. When DH is working in the garage or something, JTV and GSN is on ha ha ha ha ha. I will have my pad made into a ring, so I can see it when I am wearing it.
9.gif

Hubby comes in and turns it to the news..depressing...then most of the time he will put it back on one of the channels.Look...he has even told me to order a gemstone when they were talking about it.Can''t remember what it was...lol!

Connie

My hubby comes walking in from the garage, says "OH NO", then walks back in o the garage, if it is on the weekend and we are home. LOL LOL.

Actually, the only things I have bought are the Andesines, one Mandarin garnet ring, a couple of Tanzanites, but one is from Mexico too and my precious Pads. Pads are my favorite as you all know, ha ha ha ha ha. Oops, forgot my Emerald ring from GSN, we bought. That is a beauty.

Linda

Hi all: Just wanted to finish off my JTV parcel story.

I received the parcel on June 11 and wa hugely disappointed (as I noted on this thread.)

Went to the post office and mailed it back, priority mail, June 10.

Recieved e-mail from JTV on June 12 that they had recieved the return.

Refund posted to my Visa account June 15.

All in all, not too bad.

Of course I ate a bit of postage in the process, but I can''t complain about the way JTV handled my return.

They are really good with the returns. Knowing that makes it eaiser to order. I have ordered lots and sent my share back and they have NEVER asked any questions.GSN you have to call for an RMA# and it takes months for them to return your money. That is not good.I have never had a problem returning but it just takes so long to get your $$$ back....Right Linda

It sure does take a long time, it drives me nuts. 2 months or 3 months. That is unacceptable.

Connie, my hubby restored a 1957 Chevy a few years back and sold it. It was a beauty. Now he wished he had kept it. HA! Now he is into motorcycles. We hop on his Harley and go for Sunday rides, when the weather is nice. We love it.

And yes, JTV is wonderful about refunding right away. They treat their customers GREAT.

Mike is on GSN now. I love his show, such pretty mouth watering to die for pieces...

We have a ''70 Super Bee, ''70 Cuda( got it Mother''s Day), ''68 Barracuda and a ''55 SL190 Mercedees Roadster (restoring it). They are NEVER fully restored..it is always something..lol My jewelry doesn''t have to have the oil changed or hoses replaced nor does it cost to store it...lol! AND it goes up in value!!!

Harleys are nice. Sound is awsome. Hubby''s brother has one and had a special rack made for it and keeps it inside!!! Nuts.
