I was just at Loehmann''s, and they just got in several styles of MOB-worthy evening gowns that might work. They''re not unlike the dress your mother picked out, but with a tracery of beading instead of lace on the top... and they come in nice, rich colors.

I think the blue is a little bit different, but so similar and so much more appropriate. If she can''t get it online for some reason, we have a dillard''s here that I can check.
